Welcome to day 26!
Great job!
All right,
I'm so glad you're here.
So today,
This is a really powerful thing to know.
The mind has a tendency to replay stories of victimhood or a time of being wronged,
That was so wrong what they did to me,
Whatever it was,
To come and replay that memory.
Now,
What I would like to do is to invite you to reframe that memory.
Instead of reliving the stress and pain,
Think of it,
But then think about how you've grown since then or what you've learned from that,
Which isn't,
That person was a jerk,
That's not what I mean.
I want,
What have you learned?
Like,
I am no longer ready to,
Willing to accept being treated like that.
Or,
You know,
I am going,
I am more able to control my temper now or whatever,
Or,
You know,
Whatever it is,
Like,
What did you learn from that experience?
And when you think of that memory,
I want you to think of how you have grown.
Because when you can replace that memory with the label of,
I have grown from this experience,
This experience taught me,
Yada yada,
Then you are choosing not to continue to suffer when you think about it,
But instead you have power again.
You've grown,
You're wiser,
You're stronger,
You're smarter.
That experience brought you to a place of being wiser and stronger.
This new story that you're telling yourself brings you a better sense of confidence,
And it mitigates,
It releases,
Really,
Any pain that was associated with that story anymore.
It doesn't hurt anymore because it's been replaced by confidence.
So,
Take some time and think about what story in your life you could rewrite and how that would work for you.
And do that,
Okay,
Before you leave this lesson.
Take a few minutes,
Think of that story of victimhood,
And rewrite the meaning of the story to what you've learned from that,
Or how you're wiser,
Okay?
And that's your first step.
So,
Throughout the day or in the days to come,
If you catch yourself thinking of that victimhood kind of a memory,
That one or a different one,
Do the same thing.
Say yourself,
Well,
I've learned from this,
And I am smarter and wiser now.
And reiterate to yourself what you've learned,
And hopefully you'll notice that it doesn't hurt anymore,
But instead you feel strong and powerful because you are.
Okay,
Thank you,
And I'll see you soon.
