At times pain can be difficult for us to deal with. It can be frustrating and bothersome. For the next ten minutes, we are going to put that frustration to one side and truly soothe our physical pain. How? Through the use of our powerful minds. Through the use of the powerful soothing water. Get excited to feel refreshed, relieved, and relaxed.

Hello everyone,

This is Nathan O'Neill from Inside Timer.

Welcome to this meditation for soothing your physical pain.

Pain can be difficult to deal with at times,

And sometimes we may just need a little bit of relief.

This meditation aims to provide this relief as you are in your own safe environment,

Such as gently closing down your eyes now,

Coming right into your inner world,

Leaving behind your responsibilities for now,

They will be there for you after this meditation.

For now,

Just listening to the sound of my voice and the accompanying music,

Just giving yourself the permission to relax and wind down,

It's okay to relax and unwind,

You're not doing anything wrong,

Just for now,

Taking a big deep breath in through your nose,

Breathing in peace,

And releasing out through your mouth,

Breathing out tension,

Just bringing your awareness to your whole body for now,

This is a very gentle awareness,

A very compassionate awareness,

Just looking in at yourself,

Checking in today,

Then imagining your body is in a warm soothing bath,

This bath is the most relaxing and peaceful bath you have ever been in,

Feel the sensation of warmness,

Feel your muscles relaxing,

Your bones and ligaments relaxing,

Your organs going into a state of rest,

Your body is feeling nice and cozy,

This bath,

Although very relaxing for the body,

Is specifically designed to soothe the area that you feel the most pain with,

It swirls around this area,

It feels like it's giving it a gentle hug,

A gentle reminder that everything is okay,

The water smears itself on the area,

Feel the warmness and comfort it provides for it,

Like a warm hot beverage on a cold day,

The water accepts the area,

It has ultimate compassion for the area,

The warm soothing water then goes into the area,

Deep into the muscles,

Deep into the ligaments,

Deep into the blood vessels,

It soothes and relaxes,

It accepts everything in the area,

Such love and compassion,

Unclench the area and allow it to be,

Allow the water to do its magic and go deeper into your pain area,

It meanders down into every cell,

Every strand of DNA and every atom within the pain area,

Bringing along with it a soothing,

Warm and healing presence,

It sits deep within the area now,

Soothing,

Soothing,

Soothing,

It deeply accepts everything that comes up,

The water knows that anything you resist persists,

It allows all the sensations of the area to express itself,

Whatever they may be,

It's okay if an uncomfortable sensation comes up here and there,

The water soothes it down and comforts it,

It washes and cleanses the area out,

Cleansing,

Cleansing,

Cleansing,

This area is literally being healed from the inside out from the loving water,

Then as this meditation comes to an end,

Know that you can always come back to this experience whenever you wish,

The water is deep within the pain area,

The warm healing sensation is deep within the pain area,

It's a gentle reminder that everything is going to be okay,

In fact everything is going to be great,

So then moving your body around,

Stretching a little if you wish,

Waking yourself back up,

That's it,

Then when you're ready,

Opening your eyes slowly,

Well done.
