Hello everyone,
Welcome to this meditation for the acceptance of our challenges in relation to our physical pain.
I know right now you may be struggling with your pain,
Maybe you can't do certain activities that you want to do,
You can't run or cycle,
Play your sport or even have a walk out in the fresh air.
At the end of this meditation you are going to have a new perspective on your physical pain.
Just closing your eyes if you already haven't,
Coming right into this very moment.
Relaxing down,
Down,
Down.
Creating our safe and sacred space to be here with yourself today.
In order to create this safe space I'm going to count down from ten and when we reach zero,
A safe space for clarity,
Strength and full expression will have been created for you.
Ten,
Relaxing your whole head,
Your jaw muscles unclenching,
Your face letting go.
Nine,
Relaxing your neck and your shoulders,
Releasing.
Eight,
Softening your chest and arms,
There's no need for tension now.
Seven,
Releasing your stomach and back area,
Your spine becomes relaxed.
Six,
Releasing your hips.
Five,
Your legs let go.
Four,
Your ankles and feet become loose.
Three,
Your whole body just lets go.
It's so light,
Almost floating in the air.
Two,
The environment around you lets go.
It becomes relaxed.
No more tension in the air.
One,
Your mind and spirit relaxes and releases.
Zero,
Your sacred space has now been created.
Now I would like you to become aware of how you are feeling around a situation of your pain.
What is it stopping you from doing?
How does that make you feel?
Bringing up the underlying emotions.
It's okay whatever emotion comes up.
It could be anger or sadness or frustration.
These emotions have often been abandoned and battered by us.
They have been silenced and muzzled.
Just for this time,
We are going to let them have their say.
They are a part of you as well,
Just like your happiness and joy is.
Let the physical side of the emotions come out.
We know all too well about the mental side.
The stories that you have around your pain.
The stories that you have around the emotions.
Just for now,
Let the physical side come out.
Notice what you are feeling within your body due to the emotions.
Is there tightness anywhere in your body?
Is there pain?
It's okay,
It will release.
The emotions just need to express themselves.
They need to come up in order to let go.
If you throw them in a corner and silence them,
It's like throwing rocks.
No water will flow this way.
Take the rocks out.
It's okay to be with them.
They are here for you to protect you.
You have been through a hard time and your emotions have been busy.
There has been a lot coming up for you.
Your emotional body is just trying to survive.
Let it.
Allow it.
It's not an evil thing.
It's a beautiful thing.
Full of expression and life.
Even if it's uncomfortable.
It's living and life is full of feeling.
Letting the emotion go wherever it needs to go.
Bringing up that external activity that you want to do again,
That you feel your pain is stopping you from doing,
And allowing the emotions to come again.
This time letting the emotions flow into a green box inside the middle of your body.
This green box allows the emotions to be processed and healed.
There is nothing you need to do here.
The green box does it all.
You don't need to get rid of anything.
Whatever comes up inside you is there.
There's nothing you can do.
You're just being and that's enough.
This green box and your own body does it all.
Well done.
I want to send some gratitude to your situation.
If you can thank the pain for showing up in your life.
This may bring up resistance.
But you never know where the situation will lead you.
For sure it's increasing your intelligence and making you so much stronger inwardly.
Making you adaptable to change.
Allowing for old destructive habits to disappear and fresh healthy habits to develop.
Moving out with the old and in with the new.
Think of this period as a break for you.
A retreat into the inner world.
Find your silver lining within this situation.
Without the pain it's unlikely you would have found this meditation.
And I am personally grateful that you are here with me.
So then as this meditation comes to an end.
Stretching our bodies.
You were so brave today during this meditation.
And I'm glad you are developing yourself on an inward level.
