Today we are going to be talking about how we can make meditation more practical.
Many of us meditate at certain times of the day,
Usually in a comfortable,
Safe environment.
This is brilliant for introspecting into your general self,
And making you feel lighter from the inside.
However,
Jobs,
Careers,
And lives can be stressful,
Irritating,
And painful beyond a meditation cushion.
How can we bring that cushion with us,
And learn more about ourselves,
And hence ease our suffering as we go about our day?
Here I will give you three practical solutions.
1.
Become more aware of your internal environment throughout the day.
Practicality is all about awareness.
As we go about our day,
We can become pulled into different tasks,
And completely become unconscious of our inner workings.
The very workings that can tell us so much about ourselves.
2.
Know your body and your mind are not you.
As we become aware of our bodies and minds internal workings,
We may get pulled in here too.
The various different sensations of the body,
Are the various different thoughts and beliefs of the mind,
Pulling you into overthinking cycles,
And cycles of destruction.
Knowing that you are not the mind,
And the body,
Can help you detach from these vessels.
To let these vessels do their thing,
They know what they are doing.
Let be.
3.
Let go and surrender.
Know you are safe.
Once you are beyond the body and the mind,
Let go and surrender.
Allowing the present moment senses to come.
Feel whatever is around.
See the visual colours of everything.
Hear whatever is in your environment.
You are alive.
You are well.
You are strong.
Everything is going to be okay.
4.
These three solutions can be really beneficial in stressful scenarios,
Or when life feels a little overwhelming.
We are not trying to get rid of this stress or anxiety.
That will happen on its own.
We are just observing how it feels,
And how your mind is reacting to it.
This will allow you to know the mind so well,
And give you many opportunities to know thyself,
Which is so important.
It's like a superpower,
A very much forgotten one in this world.
