This course is aimed at parents and caregivers of children up to 11 years. Join Chelsea as she offers you and your children the tools to create a more mindful life. Why is this even important for kids? Our children are being raised in a period of change, uncertainty, and noise. There are more distractions, information, and stimuli than kids (and adults) know what do do with. This online program will guide you and your most precious possession through a mindfulness journey that will leave you both more aware of your surroundings and well-equipped to reduce noise and face uncertainty. Chelsea will empower you to take control of your child's mental wellbeing, so they can live in the moment. Mindfulness

Lesson 2

Growth Mindset

What is a growth mindset and why does it even matter? Today we will explore neuroplasticity and the brain's ability to change and grow for the positive. Teaching your children valuable skills to create a growth mindset will give them a skill that has been shown to predict the likelihood of future success. We share two simple tools and how some small tweaks in our language can have a dramatic impact on our child's ability to face a problem and bounce back from adversity.

Lesson 3

Morning Routine & Gratitude

What if every day, you and your children had a routine that would give you every opportunity for that day to be a great success? Today we explore how the first eight minutes of your morning can help our children and your family become more positive and resilient. Our children are sponges. You have the power to instill a series of small simple habits in their life that will help them grow: empathy, compassion, gratitude, and resilience. Lesson 4

Movement & Play

The benefits of play time for children cannot be overstated. Physical, mental, cognitive, social - the list really is endless. Today we explore a few of these benefits and why play time can be one of the most important factors in helping your child develop skills in mindfulness. We will share with you reasons why creating space for play time is really a non-negotiable for every child's daily schedule. Finally, we will give you a series of activities and challenges that can fine-tune your children's physical and emotional skills.

Lesson 5

Sleep

Sleep may well be the most important factor in our health. The science is catching up to what many experts have long known. Dr. Matt Walker, a world expert in sleep research from the University of California, sums it up perfectly. "Sleep is the greatest performance enhancer available". To maximise the growth and development of your child, make sleep a priority. Today we will share with you some amazing statistics illustrating the importance of sleep. We will also share a simple bedtime routine to give your child the best chance of a great night's sleep. Watch as your child flourishes when they get enough sleep.

Nutrition

Today we continue to explore the foundations of resilience in our children. We will explain the importance of nutrition, both in physical health and mental health. We will uncover the research behind the gut microbiome and our mood. We will share with you some simple, actionable tips that can be implemented into your life to improve your child's health and fitness. The best thing is this will help not only your child, but your entire family too!

Lesson 7

Stress Management

Being in a state of stress causes our bodies to undergo a variety of physical and emotional responses. This is no different in adults or children. But we can reduce the impact stress has on our bodies and brains by training ourselves to better cope with events that cause us stress. Today I will share with you some easy techniques that can help your children manage those tough times in life. We will provide a toolkit that your child will have with them for life.

Lesson 8

Circle Of Influence

Take a moment to ask yourself these questions. Is my child's environment designed to help them flourish? Or is it full of noise, stimulation, and distractions? Today we will show you how a few simple changes can turn down the noise in your child's environment. Explore a simple checklist and see what actions can be taken to remove some of the distractions in your child's life. Then, we will explore the power of close relationships. I can assure you the biggest winner from this session will be you.

Lesson 9

Affection & Self-Care

The most important person in your child's world is probably you, and you will have the biggest influence on how they grow and flourish. That is a big responsiblity but also our greatest joy. We will discuss the importance of affection in our children's lives. Then, we will turn the focus to you. Are you taking care of yourself? This session will show you the importance of self-care - how investing in yourself is one of the best decisions you can make for your family.

Resilience

In this session we explore a series of activities to conclude the course. It will arm you with a selection of strategies to bring resilience into your household. From simple games to a slight change in our language, you will leave with some behaviours and motivation to make subtle changes in your children's life. I'm excited to show you how your children will learn to be resilient, face challenges with a growth mindset, and most importantly, be a happier version of themselves. Today will leave your child ready to face the world. And you confident they can conquer it!

I’m a grandmother listening so that I can reinforce these resilience ideas. There are so many great, yet simple, ideas that I can implement.
