This series covers the basics of trauma and how that impacts our daily lives. Trauma expert Gabor Maté MD says the effect of trauma is that we disconnect from ourselves, our sense of value, and from the present moment. As we heal trauma, our nervous system becomes stronger and more resilient, and we are kinder as we come back into connection with ourselves. This introduction highlights some of the topics in the series.
