The following meditation will help you to connect with your heart chakra.
Remember you must not be driving or using machinery while listening to this meditation.
The lesson of the heart is that we must fully love and accept ourselves before we can love and accept others.
Bring yourself to a comfortable position either sitting or lying down.
Let your body settle.
Begin to notice your breath.
Visualize the air coming in and out of your lungs.
Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth with an audible sigh.
In through the nose and out through the mouth with another sigh.
Give your body permission to relax.
Spread your collarbones wide.
Open up the space that holds your heart.
If it's comfortable for you,
Bring one hand to your heart and the other on top or to your belly.
Bring your awareness to the space that surrounds your heart.
Notice this space rise and fall with your breath.
As you inhale,
Feel your tummy expand and fill your lungs with fresh air.
As you exhale,
Feel your tummy contract,
Emptying out,
Creating space for new awareness.
Now imagine you're breathing in a beautiful emerald green light.
Imagine this light traveling through your nostrils and settling down into your heart space.
This light brings with it warmth and ease,
Making the entire upper body feel warm,
Cozy and relaxed.
As you continue to breathe,
Allow this light and warmth to grow.
Only by opening our hearts can we allow love to come in.
If you have felt pain,
Perhaps a broken heart,
You've opened yourself up enough to expose yourself.
To vulnerability.
This has taken courage.
You can learn to open your heart again.
To trust again.
Take a moment here to call to mind someone or multiple people whom you love.
Bring their face or faces very clearly into your mind's eye.
Now allow love to radiate from your heart space out and into this person or people.
Now call to mind someone or more than one person who you have a tough relationship with.
Bring their face or faces very clearly into your mind's eye.
Now if you can,
Allow love to radiate from your heart and into this person or people.
Now call to your mind yourself.
Picture yourself here in your room.
Bring your face very clearly into your mind's eye.
Now using all of this compassion,
Love and openness cultivated here in this space,
Begin to wrap yourself up in love.
Sending it out from this space that holds your heart.
Now bring your attention to your heart.
The emerald green light spins there.
This light is unconditional love.
Breathe it in.
This light fills your heart.
On your next exhale,
Exhale.
Breathe out this light into the space around you.
This light grows to surround your whole body.
Inhale again this light of love.
It fills your heart and your chest.
It infuses your whole being with the light of compassion,
Empathy and connection.
Continue to breathe in and breathe out this green light in and all around you.
Your self-love increases.
Your love for others increases.
Your appreciation for all that is good infuses you with more loving energy.
Through this green light,
You see the world as a beautiful place and you see the beauty in yourself.
Let this light fill your room as you breathe in and breathe out.
Let this light reach out to your family,
Friends,
Loved ones and your community and send your love to everyone there.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Let the green light keep spreading out to your country and continent and send your love to everyone and everything there.
Now let this loving green light encompass the whole world and the universe in a beautiful bubble of unconditional love.
Now imagine your heart chakra spinning and gaining strength.
As it spins faster,
The green light washes over you and pervades every cell,
Every pore in your body.
Breathe deeply and feel the energy entering your heart.
Rest in this awareness.
Now with the green light still surrounding you,
All the areas in and around the heart are full with this beautiful light.
Each breath you take is love.
Repeat to yourself,
I am connected to others and to the earth.
I am love.
I give love and receive love.
My heart is open.
I love myself and others.
I see beauty in all people and all around.
I am compassionate.
I feel profound joy in my life.
I accept myself just as I am.
I am surrounded by love.
As you breathe,
Streams of this beautiful light weave in and around your heart,
In the space around you and continues to grow out the world and the universe.

Very slowly,
Imagine your heart chakra slowly spinning back to its normal function so it is not overactive nor underactive.
It's the size of a small green fairy light.
This will ensure that you're balanced for the rest of your day or evening.
Repeat silently,
My heart chakra is perfectly balanced and working at its normal function.
Now slowly bring your awareness back to the breath.
Allow yourself to feel the in and out rhythm of the rise and fall of the breath.
On your next inhale,
Wriggle your fingers and toes,
Gently move your arms or legs as needed.
When you're ready,
You can gently open your eyes with a soft downward gaze.
Keep your focus inward.
Now you can open your eyes fully and return to your day.
