Today, I’ll share my own story and my toxic relationship that I had with food and my body. I'll talk about the shame that I carried along with the weight for many many years. I feel it is important to share this as I totally understand how it feels to feel the guilt and shame when you feel like you have no willpower and are full of self-loathing. The first step or even secret I took on my journey of letting go of the weight, once and for all was the mirror. And this was before Louise Hay's teachings had come into my life. You will need a handheld mirror, one that you can see your entire face, for today. Full Length Mirror Work

One of the most transformational techniques used to deal with body shame is Mirror Work. We have received a lot of messages from when we were very small little girls all the way through our lives. These messages have come from all sorts of people and of course society itself. Mirror Work starts to turn that all around. Lesson 4

My 2nd Step To Letting Go Of The Weight - My Beliefs

It took me quite a while to realise that what was holding me in situations that no longer served me, like holding on to the weight, wasn’t laziness or willpower! Until I could start to release my old, outgrown beliefs, they would continue to hold me back from what I wanted. During this audio, we will explore what we feel or believe we deserve. The belief that we are not deserving nearly always comes from our early childhood experiences. We will also take a deep dive into what you might be holding on to so that you're holding on to the weight - maybe it keeps you safe or you won't be seen, for example. Choosing New Beliefs Meditation

Join me for this powerful meditation to let go of beliefs that are definitely not serving you and welcome in the new beliefs that will assist you in letting go of the weight once and for all. If we make a conscious decision not to be victims of the past and go about creating new lives for ourselves, we are supported by this power within and new, happier experiences begin to unfold. If you have always been critical of yourself, it will take time for you to turn yourself around to be more loving and accepting of yourself but it is totally possible. WOW! Mirror work was difficult at first. But after incorporating it daily over the last seven days; it’s becoming easier. My beliefs. Dear Liz, Thank you for this thought provoking course. I understand that it’s much more that ‘just’ about weight even though that’s the title. It’s about how we see ourselves as well. This course is so gentle and compassionate. I have judged myself all my life about my appearance and after the menopause my body shape has changed beyond my recognition. Which led to the reemergence of all of the critical thinking around body shape which I have been subjected to growing up. I do believe that I experienced a shift.
