Namaste.
Thank you so much for being here.
My name is Christy and I'm so grateful to guide you on this yoga and nidra experience.
Please come to a comfortable position.
Support yourself with any props.
Honoring this time you have carved out for yourself to practice and receive the restful medicine of yoga nidra.
Yoga nidra is a deeply relaxing practice that supports the body's natural ability to heal through deep rest.
There are also profound benefits of having a daily grounding and gratitude practice.
So we will invite in qualities of grounding and gratitude during this yoga nidra experience.
As you relax,
Allow your eyes to become heavy in the sockets.
Jaw softens,
Finding ease across the heart space.
Relaxing your organs,
Hips,
Allowing the legs and the feet to just relax and find a sense of heaviness as your body starts to drop deeper into the surface below you.
As your body relaxes,
You begin to invite in this sense of stillness,
Feeling the parts of your body resting on the surface below you.
Relax those parts even deeper into the earth below you,
Taking some big deep breaths,
Inhaling through the nose and sighing the breath out,
Feeling the rise and fall of your chest and belly.
Experience your body,
Mind and spirit being in this exact moment in time.
Begin to notice if perhaps your energy has been way outside of yourself today.
Perhaps giving your energy to others,
Experiences,
Conversations and with the awareness of your breath and your body start to draw your energy back to yourself.
As you inhale,
Fill up with life force and as you exhale,
Round your energy back into this present moment,
Relaxing your physical body and feeling supported,
Held and grounded.
During yoga nidra,
We work with a sankalpa or intention,
A short positive statement from your deepest heart's desire,
Such as,
I am grateful for the healing energy of nature that's within me and always surrounding me or perhaps you're working with your own primary sankalpa and bring that in.
On your next inhale breath,
Take a long deep inhale in and a long deep exhale out.
Grounding your energy by effortlessly resting,
Relaxing all parts of yourself here and now.
Nothing you need to do,
Nowhere you need to be.
Just resting with awareness.
As we move point to point,
You may start to imagine that warm healing life force energy,
Sensing it from within as I name different points in your body,
Connecting with and feeling that same life force within you that is in all the nature and all living things around you.
You are nature.
The same life force that makes up the stars,
Flowers,
Trees is also flowing through you.
Bring your awareness to the different points with the guidance of my voice.
You may even imagine a stream or a river of energy flowing from point to point.
Sensing the energy from within.
Bring your awareness to your mind's eye,
The base of your throat,
Right shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Thumb,
First finger,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Little finger,
Wrist,
Elbow,
Shoulder,
Sensing the energy from within at the base of your throat,
Left shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Thumb,
First finger,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Little finger,
Wrist,
Elbow,
Shoulder,
Taking your time to sense the energy from within the center of your throat,
Center of your chest,
The right side of your chest,
Center of your chest,
The left side of the chest,
Navel center,
Pubic bone,
Right hip,
Knee,

Sensing the energy from within art center,
Base of your throat,
Sensing from within the mind's eye center point,
Begin to sense your breath,
Air moving in and out of your body,
Notice the rise and fall of the breath at the belly,
Easy,
Rhythmic,
Sensing the expansion and releasing of the breath,
With each exhale let yourself settle a little deeper into relaxation,
You may start to imagine as your body effortlessly breathes here,
Being held and supported by warm soft sand underneath you,
Whole body melts into the sand supporting and holding you,
As you feel a cool mist of the waves near you sprinkle onto your face,
In the distance you can hear beautiful songs of birds,
Near you vibrant orange butterfly landing on a bright purple flower,
As a bright orange sun paints clouds pink above you,
Breathing in this high vibrational energy,
Breathing out and letting go deeper and deeper into this grateful state of awareness,
Of your connection to all that is.
Inviting in this quiet solitude to deeply relax and dissolve any barriers between your energy and the vast energy surrounding you in all things,
Let your body rest here in quiet,
Feeling your whole body breathing,
Feeling your whole body relaxing,
Feeling your whole body relaxing,
Feeling your whole body relaxing,
Feeling your whole body relaxing,
Bringing your awareness back to your body,
Your awareness like a bright sun slowly rising on the horizon,
The warm glow draws your sankalpa back to the space of your grateful heart,
As you are ready begin to again sense the earth beneath your body,
Take a deep breath and start to slowly awaken your body,
Perhaps feeling all the cumulative benefits of grounding,
Gratitude,
And connecting with the healing frequencies of Mother Nature.
Take any gentle movements that feel right and nourishing,
Perhaps bringing your hands on your heart and checking in with one thing that you're grateful for,
Perhaps noticing if it's difficult to only think of one thing.
The more grateful we are,
The more things we have to be grateful for,
And allowing this gratitude to carry on with you for the rest of your day or night.
I am deeply grateful for you.
Thank you so much for practicing with me.
And the divine teacher and light in me truly honors,
Respects,
And sees the divine teacher and light in you.
And when I am in this grateful place and you are in this grateful place,
We are one.
Namaste.
