This is Christi and I'm so honored to guide you through this Yoga Ninja practice Thank you so much for being here and taking time to really honor yourself and support your healing.
When you're ready,
Please make your way to a comfortable lying down position.
It can be helpful to have a pillow or a blanket under your head so your chin and forehead are in line.
Pillow under your knees to support your low back.
Cover yourself with a blanket to remain warm,
Cozy,
And still.
Closing your eyes,
Perhaps even covering your eyes with a small towel or an eye pillow to cover any light in the room.
Ishvara pranidhana is one of the niyamas in the eight limbs of yoga and it is essentially translated to surrendering to the divine intelligence of the universe,
Trusting in the divine plan,
Trusting in life itself and that all is working out exactly as it should.
So throughout this meditation practice,
Have the opportunity to come back to that frequency of trust and faith that all is working out in your favor and exactly as it should.
The practice of Yoga Nidra begins now.
Allow the body to deeply rest.
The mind will grow calm and an opportunity to connect to the peace within you that is always at ease,
Always trusting.
In the practice of Yoga Nidra,
The body is sleeping and the mind is reaching a higher state of awareness.
Begin by letting your belly settle.
Begin breathing deeply,
Slowly,
And quietly.
Sense the space of your belly opening as you gently receive the breath.
As your body rises and falls with your breath,
Feel the support of the earth,
Gravity from above,
Bring your weight to the floor beneath you.
Feel yourself being held.
Feel yourself being supported.
Allow your ankles and feet to be as relaxed as they can.
Calves,
Knees,
Thighs,
Relaxed as they can be.
Hips heavy,
Grounded,
Relaxed.
Lower back,
Middle back,
Upper back releases all the tension.
The whole back melts into the earth beneath you.
Allow your arms and hands to let go of doing,
Giving,
Holding.
The weight releases off of your shoulders,
Neck,
Chest.
Soften the tongue,
Jaw,
Both cheeks.
Relax your eyes,
Forehead.
The whole scalp relaxes.
Let your whole body go and feel more and more held by the earth beneath you.
Feel your whole body breathing,
Resting with support.
With this higher state of awareness,
Peeling back layer by layer,
Draw your awareness to arrive at your heart center.
Open your heart to your sankalpa,
Your intention,
Your heart's greatest desire stated in the positive as if it's already happening.
You may be working with a sankalpa or perhaps repeat,
I trust the divine plan of the universe.
Repeat your sankalpa three times now,
Planting that seed deep into the heart space,
In the subconscious mind.
Now we will begin a rotation of consciousness,
A gentle process of sweeping energy throughout your body,
A sensing of life force energy from within as your awareness moves point to point with the guidance of my voice.
I'm beginning to bring awareness,
Sensing the energy within your mouth,
The tongue,
The tip of your nose,
Inside the right nostril,
Inside the left nostril,
The flow of air inside your nose,
The space between your eyebrows,
Sensation of both of the eyes,
Both ears listening,
The center of your heart,
Right shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Palm,
Fingers,
Right thumb,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth,
Little finger,
Right side of your waist,
Sensing energy at the right hip,
Knee,
Ankle,
Feel your entire right foot,
Toes,
Big toe,
Second toe,
Third,
Fourth,
Little toe.
Just taking your time to float your awareness back to the center of your heart,
The left shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Palm,
All left fingers,
Thumb,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth,
Little finger,
The left side of your waist,
Sensing energy at the left hip,
Knee,
Ankle,
Feel your entire left foot,
Toes,
Big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Little toe.
Feel your whole body,
The whole body a unified field of sensation,
Awareness of energy moving throughout the whole body.
Now gently become aware of your breath just as it is.
No need to do anything or breathe differently,
Simply aware of the breath.
Bring the awareness to the right nostril,
Follow the inhalation through the right nostril.
As you exhale,
Feel it flow out through the left nostril,
Bringing your awareness to your left nostril.
Follow the inhalation through the left nostril and as you exhale,
Feel it flow out through the right nostril.
Now feel the stream of breath through both nostrils simultaneously.
Begin to experience complete darkness,
The darkness of the night sky.
Within this darkness,
Allowing yourself space to revitalize yourself,
Darkness to pause,
Rest,
Meditate.
Complete nourishing darkness surrounds you.
Now begin to experience brightness,
The sun shining brightness on your skin,
Allowing the light to surround you,
Thin you,
This light guiding your way home,
Home within yourself.
Now floating your awareness to your third eye,
The space between your eyebrows,
Deep within your mind,
Feel and experience both darkness and bright light at your third eye,
Allowing the darkness to let go of sight to allow the inner vision to become brighter and brighter.
Surrendering here as the creative force moves through you,
Pure essence of your being,
Your body lets go with this higher state of awareness,
Your deepest essence of being divinely guided,
Allowing your awareness to float back to your heart space.
With this awareness at your heart,
Bringing back in your sankalpa,
Feel your whole body being held and supported,
Feel this inner light within you and surrounding you as you continue to surrender and align with the universe,
Inviting in new blessings and opportunities to come.
Just starting to bring your awareness back to your breath,
Being aware of the quality of your body resting,
Quality of your body breathing,
The quality and cumulative benefits of your body resting,
Breathing,
And surrendering to this higher source of energy supporting you.
Allow yourself to remain open to any insights and wisdom from your higher self as your body remains open and clear in this higher state of awareness.
I'd like to start to find gentle movements to reawaken your body or just remain resting in the support that surrounds you.
