Namaste.
This is Christi and with a grateful and loving heart I welcome you to this practice.
In this practice we'll use a short yoga nidra practice to really drop into a deeper state of rest,
Relaxation,
And receptivity and then there'll be an opportunity at the end of the practice to invite in self reiki or self healing which I often refer to as unconditional loving and healing life force energy.
So when you're ready just coming into a restful,
Very comfortable position to support your body,
Perhaps placing something underneath the back of your heart like a pillow or a bolster to elevate the altar of your heart,
Placing something underneath the backs of your knees to support your low back and covering yourself with a blanket if needed or your eyes.
And once you've found your comfortable position,
Closing off the eyes and shifting to a more introspective state,
Give yourself the gift of a pause,
Sending love to all layers of yourself physically,
Emotionally,
Mentally,
And spiritually.
Begin with some deep breaths,
Filling up on the inhale breath and allow your whole body to relax on the exhale breath.
Feel the breath move in,
Creating more space for love and compassion and grace and feel the exhale starting to release any tension,
Stress,
Or anything congesting the portal of your heart.
Feel anywhere in your body that's holding on to some tension and allowing that area to be released with the simple awareness that you are worthy and deserve to relax and rest.
And even when life is messy and perhaps you've drifted away from the frequency of love due to stress or tension,
You can use this practice to return back to the frequency of joy,
Compassion,
Peace,
And love.
Notice if you can soften and relax your body five to ten percent more.
Any tension around the eyes from gazing outward towards others,
Any tension being held in the throat or the jaw from resisting to speak up,
Asking for what you need to feel loved and supported,
Just begin to let it all go.
Bringing your awareness to your heart space,
Accessing this portal of your heart with a heartfelt desire,
A sankalpa,
An intention in a positive statement as if it's already happening.
If you're working with a sankalpa,
You can invite that in or perhaps repeating the statement,
I am love,
Or I am loving and loved.
Repeating your sankalpa three times now into the heart,
Moving through a scan of the body,
The physical body and the energetic body.
You may visualize loving energy touching each point that I name.
Nothing you need to do,
Just awareness of this loving energy touching each point to create a circuitry of love throughout your body.
Beginning on the right side of your body,
Loving awareness in the right hand,
Touching the right hand thumb,
Index finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
Pinky finger,
Holding love in the right hand palm,
Back of the hand,
The middle of the wrist,
Elbow,
Loving awareness sliding up to the right shoulder,
Heart center,
Pausing here for a moment to feel heart centered,
And then sliding this loving awareness down to your right hip,
Thigh,
Knee,
Ankle,
Heel,
The whole right foot,
The right big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Pinky toe,
The whole right foot,
The whole right leg,
The whole right hand,
The whole right arm,
The whole right side of your body,
Experiencing a circuitry of loving energy,
And then taking your time to move your awareness to your left hand,
The whole left hand,
Beginning with the left hand thumb,
Index finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
Pinky finger,
Holding loving awareness in your left hand palm,
Back of the left hand,
Middle of the wrist,
Elbow,
Sliding the loving awareness up to your left shoulder,
Pausing again at the heart center,
Loving awareness sliding down to the left hip,
Thigh,
Knee,
Ankle,
Heel,
The whole left foot,
The left big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Pinky toe,
The whole left foot,
The whole left leg,
The whole left arm,
The whole left side of your body experiencing a circuitry of loving energy from point to point,
Heels,
Back of the legs,
Low back,
Mid back,
Upper back,
Neck,
Back of your head,
Crown of your head,
Forehead,
Loving awareness at the right eye,
Left eye,
Space between the eyes,
Bridge of the nose,
Tip of the nose,
Upper lip,
Lower lip,
Center of the nose,
Tip of the throat,
Landing again at the heart center,
Experiencing the sensation of your whole body pulsing with life force energy,
Radiating love into each cell,
Experiencing yourself breathing,
Experiencing the buoyancy of the breath,
The rise and fall,
Feeling the energetic body supporting the physical body,
And perhaps bringing the mind to a more restful state,
With the heart fully opened,
Begin to remember a time when your heart felt completely full,
When you experienced a deep state of love,
Perhaps you were in a favorite place in nature,
With a certain person,
Or maybe a certain animal that you love deeply,
Perhaps loving and laughing,
Experiencing a deep state of happiness and joy,
If you were with a certain person,
Really feel that person,
A certain animal,
Really feel being with that animal,
Or in a certain place,
What it felt like,
What you experienced,
All of the sensations,
Let yourself feel it,
With the awareness that this place is always within you,
Love comes from you,
Connect to the power within yourself,
Connecting to that place,
Where you felt and feel love,
And allow that to release,
Knowing that that portal is always a place within you,
And allow yourself to just rest here,
Fading into this state of bliss,
Peace,
Compassion,
And love,
As you return to your breath,
Allow each inhale to draw in life force energy,
Every exhale releasing,
Purifying anything,
Congesting the portal of your heart,
Returning to that heartfelt place of love,
Inviting in your sankalpa,
This heartfelt desire as if it's already happening,
I am love,
I am loving and loved,
You may feel called to direct one hand over your heart,
One hand over your belly,
Or just visualize your hands touching your heart and your belly,
And feel the aliveness of your heart,
With your breath,
You have all the wisdom of the entire universe in the portal of your heart,
Just directing healing energy deep within this portal,
And starting to feel all the places of your body touching the surface beneath you,
Feeling the spaciousness around you and above you,
Feeling yourself floating in this space,
Feeling held,
Loving,
And loved,
You can stay here as long as you like,
If you're called to,
Find gentle stretches and reawaken,
Eventually rolling to one side and pressing yourself slowly back up to a seat,
Feeling any energy in your palms,
Begin to place your left hand over your heart,
And right hand over your left hand,
Directing unconditional love and compassion,
And with your healing hands placed over your heart,
What is one loving thing you can say to yourself in this moment?
I am loving,
I am loving,
What is one loving thing you can say to yourself in this moment?
To propel you forward closer to your higher self,
Radiating love out to the world,
And bringing your hands into prayer position,
Take a moment to honor yourself,
You are love,
And the world needs your light,
