Good morning and welcome to your practice.
Make sure that you are comfortable to begin.
This waking up practice can be done lying in your bed and in any position that feels comfortable for you.
So just make any adjustments that you need to make for your comfort but try not to disturb your resting body too much as you make this peaceful transition from sleeping to waking.
So just do whatever you need to do to feel that you can enjoy this meditation and enjoy this process without any physical discomfort.
And just take a moment to feel into the support of the surface beneath you.
The support of the pillow beneath your head.
We support the mattress.
And comfort of the blankets and bed covers.
Feel the gentle flow of the breath coming in and out of your body.
Take a moment to appreciate the natural peace.
That arises within your body at this time.
The quietness that still remains after a night of sleep.
And just send your awareness outwards.
Notice any sounds that are present in your environment.
And just let the awareness move between the different sounds without getting too involved in any one sound Just acknowledge that those sounds are there.
And know that they are not going to disturb you.
Can only enhance your experience.
And take a moment to acknowledge that this is your time for your transition into the day.
There is no way that you can get this wrong.
You might find that you fall back asleep.
And that's okay,
It just means that your body needs a bit more sleep right now.
Might find that you drift in and out,
That you drift away and ignore me completely.
Whatever your experience,
That's the perfect experience for you this morning.
So just make a quiet intention now to welcome whatever comes.
And to enjoy this transition.
To enjoy this peaceful entering into the day.
