Isabel Allende said you are the storyteller of your own life and you create your own legend.

So every scene in our life is part of the greater story and if we address one scene we're addressing a pattern.

So today we'll do a little two-part meditation with a journaling break in between.

We won't write much but we will write from the heart.

So make sure that you have your notebook or your computer nearby.

And when you're ready find your meditative position,

Close your eyes,

Take a nice deep breath in,

Hold it for a beat and release.

Take more deep breaths like this,

Inhaling deep and exhaling from the lower belly to the lungs to the collarbones,

Just allowing the body to soften.

Now I want you to imagine yourself one year from today.

You've overcome the challenge,

You've grown to find new perspective and you're living a reality that is closer to what you ultimately desire.

I want you to see this future version of yourself.

Where are you?

What do you feel?

Who are you with?

What have you let go of?

What relationships remain and what relationships are stronger?

Including your relationship with yourself,

Your personal leadership.

Feel the confidence,

The peace,

The joy of this future version of yourself.

You are the leader of your own life.

You move through the world with confidence and grace,

Compassion for others.

Feel the embodiment of this,

Let it settle into your body.

Now repeat in your mind the following mantra.

I am the creator of my story.

I am stepping into my best reality.

I am the creator of my story.

I am stepping into my best reality.

I am the creator of my story.

I am stepping into my best reality.

See this future you.

Allow a gentle smile to cross your face.

Take a nice slow deep breath in through the nose and gently let it go.

Blink your eyes open and grab your notebook or your computer and I want you to write what you saw.

Whether it was a very clear visual version of you or whether it was just an idea.

Just jotting down a few sentences and then when you are done capturing what you saw or what you thought,

I want you to list one daily habit that this future version of you has.

One daily habit that will pull you from where you are today into this future self.

It can be something very small or something quite large.

Just write down whatever comes and you can always pause this audio to take a moment to think.

Remember not to take too much time.

You can always add to this later.

We want to ride the momentum of this embodiment.

Once you are ready,

Go ahead and wrap up what you're writing.

Once again,

Just briefly close your eyes.

Take a deep breath into the lungs,

Into the lower belly,

Out the belly,

Out the lungs.

Bring to mind this future you,

The embodiment of this future you,

Whatever pieces of this future you came and feel a subtle mindset shift toward the direction of this future self.

Feel the step that you've already taken just by opening and expanding your perspective of who you can be in the world.

Feel this more empowered self settle in your body.

Sit nice and tall,

Nice and proud.

Allow your breath to be deep and strong and visualize yourself moving through the world with this new gravitas,

With this new personal leadership,

This empowerment and see yourself making clearer decisions.

Hear your voice speaking with confidence.

Repeat to yourself,

I am living my truth.

I embody clarity,

Strength and wisdom.

I am living my truth.

I embody clarity,

Strength and wisdom.

I am living my truth.

I embody clarity,

Strength and wisdom.

Now let the breath go to its normal cadence.

Notice how it feels to sit in the center of this new empowered version of you and slowly begin to blink your eyes open and maintain this feeling,

Allowing the cheeks to lift and feeling the possibility expanding.

Remember that you always have the ability to reframe the way that you see the world.

Even when things feel incredibly dire or you don't think that you have another option,

There's always another way to see what's in front of you.

So I encourage you to practice that,

To explore new challenges with this same framework and to step into your personal leadership as you move forward in the world.

The world will be better for it.
