Welcome,
My friend.
This meditation is designed to bring you a sense of calm,
A sense of groundedness,
And a sense of being centered in this present moment.
So before we begin,
Allow your body to find comfort.
If you need to move around a little bit,
Please do so.
If there are any places that feel tension,
Maybe give them a little massage,
A gentle stretch.
If there are any places that feel really relaxed,
Send them a little breath,
A little smile.
And after a few moments,
You'll find stillness.
Any way that the body is comfortable,
You find stillness.
You'll start to notice the rhythm of your breath,
Nothing to change,
Just observing,
Becoming friends with your breath.
Enjoy the stillness in your body as it is a sign that it is safe here to relax.
It is time for you to just be in the moment.
Permission to do nothing and breathe.
If it feels okay for you,
Allow the breath to become a little slower,
The inhales become a little longer,
And the exhales become a little longer.
The breath feels nourishing,
There's no forcing,
Just slow,
Steady breaths.
With each inhale,
You feel a sense of calm,
And with each exhale you feel a sense of connectedness.
So the calm enters your body,
And the exhale allows you to connect,
To be grounded,
To be present.
Allow the breath to flow freely,
A little bit longer of an inhale,
A little bit longer of an exhale.
Breathing in the calm,
Breathing out the connectedness.
Notice the energy in your body,
Staying with this moment,
With this one breath.
Taking another moment to breathe in slowly,
Breathe out slowly.
Allow yourself to feel what it's like to be fully present,
Fully connected to your body and breath.
Fully connected to the moment.
The calm enters your body,
It's a little gift,
Helping you to relax,
To stay centered.
Slowly you'll wiggle your fingers and toes,
Maybe moving the body around,
Any way to bring a little energy in,
A little light.
When you're ready,
You can blink open your eyes.
And take a moment,
Place your hands on top of your heart,
Stacking one palm on top of the other.
Take one final breath,
And then slowly coming back into your day.
