Welcome.
We're going to take a few moments to bring ourselves into focus.
If you're feeling like you're flying around and can't concentrate or get tasks done,
Or maybe even feeling a little unsettled,
Join me for the next few moments to calm your mind and center your body.
So to begin,
Take a nice deep inhale and then gently exhale,
Taking a few moments to breathe in and out through the nose,
Just noticing any sensations that are happening in your body.
Whether you're sitting or laying down or even standing,
Take some time to get curious.
And whatever's going on is perfectly okay,
Just acknowledging those body sensations.
And with a few slow,
Deep breaths,
Allow yourself to settle.
Allow your body to become still and allow your body to feel supported by the chair,
The bed,
The floor,
Wherever you are.
Just breathe,
Letting your body become calm and relaxed.
And after a moment,
Turning your attention to your thoughts.
Is the mind wandering,
Going through lists of things to do,
Thinking about what happened yesterday?
And all of these,
Again,
Are normal.
So allow yourself to get curious about those thoughts.
Give them the time that they're due,
Without judgment,
Without trying to change.
Just acceptance for what is.
And after a moment or two,
Returning to your breath and breathing gently and deeply,
Letting the thoughts just fly out of the mind.
And just being with me here and now,
The body is settling,
The mind is becoming a little more quiet,
And the breath is deep.
And if there's anything left that you're holding on to,
Just exhale and let it go.
Feeling this sense of calm,
This sense of rootedness right in this present moment.
Knowing this is the moment that we have,
This is the moment that we can truly be free.
Staying with your breath,
Breathing in and breathing out.
And with this sense of calm,
Moving through the body,
Moving through the mind,
Allow it to become clear.
Noticing what clarity would feel like,
And noticing what's next.
So take one more deep breath in through your nose,
And a gentle exhale out of your mouth.
And as you're ready,
Opening your eyes,
And with a little bit more focus,
A little bit more calm,
Returning to your day.
