Welcome to the lemon balm meditation.
You may choose to connect with a lemon balm before beginning our meditation by either sipping on a cup of lemon balm tea or perhaps connecting with the plant.
Sitting with the plant or holding some leaves in your hands during the meditation or simply bringing up a photo of lemon balm so you can connect it visually with this plant.
And when you are ready find yourself in a comfortable position either sitting in a chair with your feet on the floor sitting cross-legged or lying down and then closing down the eyes.
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Let's start by doing some nice deep breaths as you inhale completely fill the diaphragm and lungs with air and as you exhale feel that release as you completely empty the breathing chambers.
Take a moment to connect with the breath and take a few deep breaths here.
Breathing in and out through the nostrils if possible.
Feel the ground beneath you and feel your connection to this earth as you sink deeper and deeper into relaxation.
Scan your body starting from your toes all the way up through your legs,
Your torso,
Your arms,
Your neck and your head and observe if there's any part of your body that's holding on to tension any part that isn't fully relaxed.
Focusing on this area take a deep breath and just breathe into the tension letting the breath soothe and relax and breathe into any other areas of your body that is still feeling a bit tense.
Just breathe into it feeling that tension just slip away as your body completely relaxes.
Bring your attention to your third eye,
The space between your eyebrows in the center of your forehead and as you gaze through your third eye portal you are transported to a beautiful lush garden.
As you walk through this garden you notice there are many flowers in bloom,
Many herbs growing along the path and in the garden beds,
Beautiful fruit trees.
You walk along the path observing the many plants that are around you and you come across a luscious lemon balm plant,
Its soft green leaves dancing lightly in the gentle breeze.
You pick one of the leaves and you bring it up to your nose noticing the lemony scent and as you connect with this plant you feel all your worries slipping away and you know that this plant has some really magical properties.
You can feel the healing powers of the lemon balm as you hold on to this leaf.
You take this leaf in your hand and you place it into your heart chakra space,
Your body absorbs the energy of the lemon balm,
You feel so calm and you feel that any emotions that you've been holding on to are now able to be healed.
Lemon balm is a wonderful herb for soothing anxieties and bringing you into the present moment you can leave the past behind you without holding on to it and you don't have to worry about the future because you are here in the present moment.
The lemon balm plant has a message for you about what you need to know for the present moment.
You listen closely so you can hear the whisperings of the lemon balm plant.
I'll give you a moment here so you can hear the message.
When you have finished receiving the message from the lemon balm plant you think this plant for bringing your awareness to the present and for its soothing and healing abilities.
Walking back through the garden now once again observing the plants around you,
The flowers,
The herbs,
The trees,
Perhaps there are insects flying around the garden or other animals appear for you.
Begin to bring your awareness now back into the physical body coming back out of that third eye portal and back into your body bringing your awareness to the room that you are in.
Taking note of the present moment,
The sounds that you can hear,
Anything that you can smell,
The feel of the chair or ground that you are sitting on,
The touch of the air on your skin.
Take a deep breath once again completely filling the diaphragm and lungs before exhaling completely and fully.
Know that you can always connect with the spirit of the lemon balm whenever you need this emotional healing or to bring yourself back into the present moment.
When you're ready you can give your toes and fingers a little wriggle giving your body a gentle stretch before opening your eyes.
Namaste.
