Let's settle down into a quiet,
Comfortable position,
Stilling the mind,
Slowing down the breath,
Relaxing the muscles,
Just taking our gaze inwards,
Allow the nervous system to relax completely,
And let the eyes gently close and drop back,
Becoming heavy,
Let the whole body relax into heaviness,
As you now start to contemplate what it is that you would like to,
That you desire to,
That you need to forgive.
Bring into your mind's eye now the person,
The people,
The situation,
The experience,
Whatever memories you have,
Let them flow forth and just be with you,
Just for a short while,
As you recall experiences that have brought you to this place where you need to now forgive.
Just allow those memories to continue to be with you,
Notice perhaps other memories that are resurfacing,
Perhaps from further back,
Perhaps that are related,
But perhaps not,
Just allow whatever is coming up from the subconscious into the conscious,
Just give everything permission to be present with you now,
Everything that is related to that which you have asked to forgive.
Notice what's happening in the body,
Are there any areas that are feeling tight,
Uncomfortable,
Just notice,
Notice what's happening in the heart center,
What feelings are coursing through your veins right now.
In this moment choose,
Choose by setting the intention to forgive,
To completely forgive that which needs forgiving,
No matter how long it takes.
By making that choice,
By making the choice of choosing to forgive,
The process has started.
In your mind's eye now,
Choose a symbol,
A symbol that represents that which you are asking to forgive.
Now that you have that symbol in your mind's eye,
Put that to the side,
Just allow your body to relax,
Any areas of tension just breathe into them,
Feel relaxation flowing down your facial muscles,
Flowing through your shoulders,
Allow your belly to relax down,
Feel your legs suckle,
Your fingers hanging limp and let the whole nervous system be completely calm,
From head all the way down to each and every single toe,
Just let go of the man,
Keep the temples at ease and trust,
Trust in your heart of hearts that all is unfolding exactly as it needs to.
Now take a few moments and contemplate,
How will my life be different when that which I'm holding onto is released from my mind,
From my heart,
From my body,
From my spirit?
How will I feel if I truly allow my whole self to completely forgive?
And as you are imagining all the beautiful,
Joyful experiences that can take place by unlocking the door of forgiveness,
Slowly start to deepen your breath,
And as you are inhaling deep down into your belly,
Feel your chest expand,
Take your attention into the centre of your chest,
Into your heart space,
Dropping down below the surface of the skin,
Just feel the expansion of your heart sphere,
Visualise an array of colours opening it up,
Let the sun shine in,
And as you feel your heart centre expanding,
And expanding,
And expanding,
Bring into your mind's eye the symbol which you created,
The symbol of that which you have asked to forgive,
And when that is clearly in your mind's eye,
Now move the symbol into your heart centre,
Notice what you might need to,
Reduce it in size somewhat,
Allow it to morph as it needs to,
And just notice,
Just notice what happens,
Just notice what to do.
Let the focus go,
The process will continue,
But allow your mind to rest now,
Feel your muscles relaxing down,
Down,
And just spend the next few minutes in complete calm and quiet.
