Welcome to this forecast for August 2026.
Let's take a few breaths together in preparation of receiving this guidance and wisdom.
Gently exhale as you release.
Let go of what has been on your mind.
Allowing the body to relax And then as you inhale,
Receiving.
Receiving a light.
And this moment.
Again exhaling.
Releasing into the earth.
Receiving.
From the abundance that is with you.
And once more in your own time.
Gently exhale.
And then really receive the breath.
And now simply allow the breath to flow in a natural way.
As the body remains relaxed.
A heart open.
And the mind quiet.
We're going to set an intention.
You might like to connect with your heart center while we do this.
You can repeat with me or simply affirm at the end.
I trust.
Wisdom I am receiving from this ancient teaching.
And the guidance I am receiving from within.
These are all aligned with my highest good.
And for the greater good of all.
Breathe in as you affirm with eye trust.
And exhale any and all expectations.
Once again,
Reminding the body to be relaxed.
The heart open and the mind quiet.
And simply notice what of these messages are talking to you.
Even if just one word resonates.
Than that.
Is your takeaway.
So the hexagram for August 2026.
Number 28 of the I Ching which is entitled Exceeding Greatness.
And this is a time when we are cautioned to not exceed.
There are great changes that are taking place globally,
Socially.
And also.
.
.
Recently.
Notice where the movement is taking place in your life.
And feel into where the greatest pressure is.
Is currently sitting.
And it is within and around those pressure points.
That we are asked.
To be with them with care.
And that includes moving slowly.
If we look at the elements and the symbology here.
We see the lake is above wind.
Wind is air.
So imagine this air that is Folding up beneath the lake,
Beneath this vast body of water.
This is where the pressure is sitting.
Another way to look at this is at the image of the yin yang lines.
We have got two open lines at the bottom and at the top with four solid lines in between.
And this can resemble.
A beam at the bottom that is taking a lot of strain,
A lot of pressure.
It can also represent a raft.
Or even a root.
Where the outer edges.
Are moving away from their traditional structure.
So this is also talking to change in structure.
We can see that taking place in society.
Where do you notice this change of structure impacting your life?
And,
Or Where is the structure in your life?
Changing.
This can be in a very physical way.
Representation,
But it can also be internally.
Perhaps the structure of beliefs for you.
Has been changing or is starting to change,
Perhaps your worldview is being impacted by that.
And so with all these experiences and situations of change,
Be they internal or external,
We are advised to not rush in and force change or through perhaps excitement bring in the changes too quickly.
The I Ching says the beam is weak.
There will be advantage in moving in any direction.
But it is necessary to first find some means to redress the imbalance.
And this will help to strengthen the situation.
A further description,
The hexagram has two weak outer lines and four strong inner lines and resembles a roof with a strong center but weak edges.
The center is in danger of falling.
This hexagram signifies caution.
And the need for change.
So which of these symbols do you connect most easily with?
The raft?
Whose outer edges are we?
Or the roots?
And how does that speak to your life?
Is there something that's above your head?
That you know needs to change.
Or are you floating on the lake,
On a raft?
Also needs to change.
No matter how much change we go through.
We are also advised to not forsake old friendships,
For they may still be part of your destiny.
What do you notice happening in your physical body?
If there is discomfort,
Honor that and you can support yourself with the hand on the forehead.
And let us be reminded that.
Caution and careful consideration is key at this time.
This does not mean that we are asked not to act,
Or act we will need to,
But when we do,
To do so with the knowing.
That consideration for all has been taken into account.
