Welcome to this transmission on stillness.
In the I Ching,
It is called the mountain.
And it's connected to hexagram 52.
My name is Helen and I'm grateful that you are here with me right now.
Let's begin by opening the space of receiving with a few gentle breaths.
In your own time,
Gently breathe in.
Perhaps you'd like to hold the breath.
Or not.
And whenever you're ready.
In a relaxed way,
Let the breath go.
And again,
Breathing in,
Pausing.
Releasing.
And this time,
Notice some aspects about your breath.
That you didn't notice before.
As you gently inhale.
Hold.
And release.
Release tension from the body.
Let go of any focus on anything that might be distracting.
And once more,
Connect to your breath.
As you relax into this moment.
Trusting.
That you are guided.
Just as you need to be.
Let's strengthen that trust by setting an intention.
If it feels right for you.
You can bring your hands together.
Or place them on your chest,
Over your heart center.
And now let's repeat either aloud or internally.
I trust.
The wisdom I am receiving from this ancient teaching.
Along with my own inner guidance.
Is aligned with and for.
My highest good.
And the greater good of all.
Breathe in truth.
Exhale any and all expectation.
And once more.
Bringing the body to stillness.
The mind to stillness.
And gently noticing the breath.
Letting your breath be really relaxed.
And without controlling it or guiding it.
Simply notice.
And as you notice,
This breath of life.
That so naturally ebbs and flows.
Within you,
Around you.
What else do you notice?
Perhaps the breath.
Symbolizes something for you.
Or perhaps it leads into.
A sensation.
An image.
Such gentle contemplation.
Is what we are called to connect with.
In this time when a transmission such as this crosses our path.
And this type of still awareness,
Relaxed.
Quiet thoughts,
Reflecting.
And perhaps.
Reflecting on what has been released.
So that we can be fully present.
As we move forward.
This is the wisdom.
Of the mountain.
The mountain is not an element or an experience that is outside of the self.
You have the mountain within you.
This mountain of wisdom.
That has brought you to this point right here,
Right now.
This wisdom of design that has given you life every moment of every day of every year of your life.
And so the depth of your wisdom is vast.
And you are asked to trust this wisdom.
And it's a quiet type of courage.
That cultivates the trust of one's wisdom.
And this type of wisdom is also calling for us to Quietly.
Hold back.
One's words.
Speakly.
And when you do speak,
When you do act.
Do it calmly.
And with surety knowing.
With every fiber of your being,
With every particle.
That this is right.
For right now.
And it's not about being right.
For anybody else.
Or everybody else.
This is about resonating.
With your essence.
And sometimes in order to be in life in this way,
There are old patterns,
Ways of thinking,
Ways of living that need to be shared.
Perhaps you've done that already and in that case.
Reflect and honour.
Path that you have traveled,
That which has served you and has since been released.
And if you are still in the process,
Of shedding.
Then notice that as well.
In this quiet space.
And perhaps also asking for guidance.
Guidance on the next step of transformation.
And whatever position you find yourself in.
Make sure that you have your back in a relaxed manner.
And you can take a moment now to notice your posture.
Notice what position your back naturally moves into.
Do you slouch over?
Do you lean forward?
Are you relaxed?
In an upright posture.
Do you feel like your back is constantly needing outside support?
Strengthen your back.
Physically.
And also metaphysically,
Because the two talk to each other.
And practice.
A few times throughout your day.
Sitting or standing.
Perhaps even lying down in a posture where your back is aligned and relaxed.
So you can be relaxed.
In your essence.
And your truth.
Now while the mountain.
Does have a quiet majestic quality to it.
And when we look at a mountain.
We see this still shape.
It is wise to remember that there is much movement going on.
Within the mountain and sometimes around it as well.
And so this message is not about not moving.
It is about.
Choosing the correct movements and it is.
About getting things done.
For when we are calmly present.
And very sure.
Of the next step.
And even when we sometimes not sure,
We are trusting the direction we are being guided in.
Then.
.
.
Things do get done.
So think about those things.
Those loose ends that still need to be tied up.
Finished,
Completed.
What small step can you take today?
Tomorrow.
Continuously.
To support this process.
Of completion.
And this will really help.
To bring things.
To a close that needs it.
To be brought to a close.
And thereby.
Open the way for beginnings.
When we look at the hexagram symbology,
We see the frequencies from the bottom up of yin yang.
And then the next trigram yin yang yang and this symbolizes mountain above mountain.
But within the mountains.
We have.
Different frequencies.
The second,
Third and fourth line.
Yin Yang Yin.
Represent water.
What is message?
Is to go slowly.
Be mindful.
Practice patience.
And then if we look at lines three,
Four,
And five,
We have yang yin yin.
Which is the complementary opposite.
To mountain and this is thunder.
Bandho is about movement and change.
Necessary change.
And if it feels like much is moving in your life,
Around you or maybe even within you.
Thunder's Message.
Is complimentary.
To Mountain's Message.
And the hexagram prior to this,
Number 51.
Known as the ground break.
Is thunder within thunder.
So perhaps you might benefit from.
The sling.
To this transmission as well.
And for ease of reference,
You can find it in the I Ching playlist.
Which is at the bottom of my profile page.
So 51 and 52,
Thunder and Mountain,
The Groundbreaker and the Gatekeeper,
They work together.
They are programming partners.
And so beautifully balanced in their pair.
From extreme movements.
To complete.
Silence and quiet.
From shaking to stillness.
From opening up.
To bringing completion.
And closure.
How does this all talk to you?
And your life.
Right now.
We can reflect on this from a very personal perspective.
And we can also reflect personally as we connect this message to what's going on in our community.
Or the world at large.
I'd like to read to you some words from the I Ching now,
Which may deepen your awareness.
When one's back is at rest,
One loses all consciousness of self.
When one walks in the courtyard and does not see any of the persons in it.
There will be no error.
In other words,
Presence.
And releasing of distractions is what is being asked for.
The eaching continues.
In calmness and stillness we can often find what we have been looking for.
Now is that time to sit in stillness.
You must direct your thoughts to yourself and your situation.
And examine your inner self.
And then finally.
.
.
A reflection on line 5,
The Emperor's line which is a powerful position in all the hexagrams because this is the potential for moving into the next hexagram.
So here it says,
One keeps one's jawbones at rest so that one's words are all orderly.
In other words,
Exercise caution and control over what you say.
And let others contribute their comments and opinions.
Let's return for a few moments to the breath.
Intentionally quietening the mind.
Relaxing the tool.
And connecting as we started with the heart.
Breathing trust into the heart and trust each and every single word and action is aligned with your highest good and for the greater good of all.
