Welcome to Be With Melinda.
A space where your soul can rest,
Listen,
And return to its natural rhythm.
Dear One,
I'm honored to guide you into this moment of stillness.
This practice is for the moments when life feels uncertain,
When answers haven't yet arrived,
And you find yourself standing in the space between clarity and confusion.
In Hebrew,
The word for patience is Savlanut.
It comes from the root word Seval,
Meaning to carry or to bear.
Patience,
Then,
Is not passive waiting.
It is the strength to carry what is unclear with dignity and faith.
Here we learn the sacred art of Savlanut,
Not the patience of waiting,
But the patience of being,
Being present inside the unknown.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose,
And exhale gently through your mouth.
Let your body know that it's safe to pause.
Feel your breath tracing its way through your body,
Down your throat,
Through your chest,
And into your belly.
With each breath,
You soften.
With each breath,
You return home to yourself.
Notice any tightness around your heart or mind.
Acknowledge the tension of wanting to know.
Keep noticing it.
You don't need to solve it.
Patience,
Savlanut,
Begins with presence.
When you slow down enough to listen,
You start to hear life whispering beneath the noise.
Sometimes,
When the path ahead feels hidden,
It isn't punishment,
It's protection.
Your soul may be preparing something your mind isn't yet ready to receive.
In Kabbalistic teaching,
The Shekhinah,
The indwelling feminine presence,
Dwells even in the places that feel uncertain or incomplete.
She abides in the not-yet moment,
Reminding us that mystery,
Too,
Is holy.
Keep breathing into that mystery and feel into its holiness,
Into your holiness.
Notice which area of your body or your soul is calling.
Perhaps it's Nefesh,
The vital or instinctual soul connected to the body.
Perhaps it's Ruach,
The emotional and moral spirit or Neshama,
The breath of divine awareness or intellect.
Perhaps it's Chayah,
The living essence of our higher soul that perceives unity or Yechidah,
The singular transcendent soul spark that unites with the divine.
Any or all could be calling for your attention.
Breathe gently into the place that calls to you and let your higher self be witness in holding you deeply.
You're not lost.
You're simply becoming.
Even when you cannot see the next step,
Life is still unfolding perfectly in rhythm.
Bring your awareness into your heart.
You might place a hand there or both hands.
Feel its quiet wisdom,
Its steady beat,
Its deep remembering.
Whisper to yourself,
I trust the timing of my life.
I rest inside the unfolding.
Let those words move through your breath.
Inhale patience,
Savlanut.
Exhale,
Control.
Inhale faith.
Exhale fear.
Every breath is a teacher in patience.
Every pause is a doorway into trust.
The answers will come,
Not by force,
But by readiness.
Your task is not to chase clarity,
But to become still enough for clarity to find you.
Let yourself rest in that knowing now.
Let the silence between your breaths become your sanctuary.
May the path ahead reveal itself with grace and perfect timing.
May your waiting be soft,
Your heart open,
And your faith steady.
Remember,
You do not need to see the whole picture to trust that it is beautiful.
Take one final deep breath in,
And a long,
Gentle exhale.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
The world will still be here,
A little quieter,
A little clearer.
