And now,
You can begin by once again noticing the natural rhythm of your breath.
And with your intention,
Breathe in comfort and self-kindness.
And breathe out any tension or stress.
Feeling more and more centered and calm with each in-breath.
And noticing the release with each out-breath.
Just like that.
Allow your body to settle in,
Feeling grounded,
Calm and peaceful,
Yet comfortably alert.
And notice or sense or trust that there is a beautiful cocoon or halo of light around you.
And emanating from within you.
However you notice this is exactly right.
And there is no need to try so much as simply be.
Each time you do this,
It may be a little bit different,
But still just right.
And you can sense or trust that this light expands with each cycle of breath.
Filling the room,
Wherever you find yourself.
Expanding in all directions.
Creating your own unique and sacred space.
And now,
Feeling very secure and comfortable with part of your awareness on your breathing.
Allow to come to mind a specific person or situation.
A dynamic or pattern that has felt toxic or painful or burdensome to you.
Or has gotten in the way of your own growth.
The wisest and most loving part of you knows it's time to address whatever comes up for you now.
Notice the cords or tethers that have tied you to these situations.
And where in your body or mind you felt them.
If they're thick or thin or heavy or light.
Sticky or wispy but strong like the strands of a web.
It actually doesn't matter whether you just want to further lengthen these cords to create some distance for the time being.
Thinning and stretching them out.
Or severing them piece by piece.
Or maybe first cutting some cords and then others.
Slowly but surely unbinding yourself.
Or perhaps you are now ready to sever them completely.
Give the wisest part of you permission to discern whatever is for your highest good.
And again,
You can do this from a perspective of compassionate detachment.
Breathing through anything you need to.
And now take your pen and write down all of the things about this situation or relationship that have felt hurtful or burdensome or unhealthy for you.
It could be something that has transpired between you and another.
Or a pattern of your own making that has created pain.
Or perhaps the ways that your emotions have kept you bound to situations that the wisest part of you knows that you must now change.
Just write it all down.
Letting it unfold onto the paper.
It might feel like the writing flows automatically once you let go of worrying about how it looks or sounds to you.
So forget about neatness or grammar for now.
You're releasing the energy of these things.
So just let them come out however they come out.
You can even scribble or symbolically draw the feelings and thoughts and tethers to this situation.
Notice how good it feels to let go of any worry about getting it right.
Or what anyone else would think.
This exercise is just for you.
So just breathe.
Use as many sheets of paper as you need to.
And if any emotion comes up for you,
That's fine too.
Again,
Just write it down,
Scribble over it,
And let it flow.
Breathe and release.
And I'll be quiet for the time being so you can take as much time as you need to.
And that's it.

Org And when you feel you are finished for now,
Take some sea salt and pour it over your paper.
Or simply visualize salt covering every line,
Neutralizing any toxicity.
Affirm that you are releasing what you need to by saying either out loud or silently,
I release all unhealthy cords connected to this situation,
Whether they originate from myself or others.
You can even use your hand to make a sweeping,
Severing motion wherever you imagine these cords,
Over your energy centers or the places in your body where you feel you hold your end of the cord.
Or simply marvel as these unhealthy attachments unplug from you,
As if removing a cord from an outlet,
No longer giving it any power.
Give your mind permission to use whatever imagery is most fitting and powerful for you,
Whether something I suggest or another image entirely.
So if it feels right to you,
You can imagine the person or situation moving farther and farther off into the distance,
Walking over the horizon,
Becoming smaller and smaller until they are gone.
Or if you prefer,
Sense and see yourself turning and walking away with confidence as the issue and its effects on you fade from sight.
Or you may wish to imagine yourself having untied a thick,
Weighty,
Coarse rope,
Watching it drop to the earth and disintegrate,
The connection completely cleared.
If it's a pattern you are releasing,
You might imagine this as an old tool that you've been carrying around with you,
Something that you picked up at some point for what seemed like a good reason at the time.
And now just take it out of your bag and leave it on the wayside as you move forward.
Or you can visualize this severed cord as being under glass in a museum somewhere,
A relic you can observe from a distance and then leave behind.
Again,
Whatever image resonates with you is just right.
And you can affirm this clearing by saying,
I understand and release old patterns and dysfunctional attachments.
I say goodbye to unhealthy relationships.
I acknowledge with gratitude any growth that has come from what I have experienced.
I release these cords and move on with relief and gratitude.
I allow others to be responsible for their choices as I take responsibility for mine from this moment on.
Breathe.
See and sense the cords as having detached from you fully.
Now sense or feel a beautiful ball of golden white light in the center of your being.
Allow it to expand,
Filling every cell of your body.
Notice how it pushes out any remnants,
Healing all parts of you,
Renewing and recharging your mind,
Body,
And spirit.
And now dispose of your paper to make the clearing complete.
So you can crumble your paper over the salt and then throw it away outside of your home.
Or you can tear the paper up,
Burn it in the sink,
And toss any remaining ashes into moving water,
Such as a stream or the ocean.
Do whatever feels right.
Getting rid of the remnants further removes you from the situation and creates both a symbolic and literal distance between you and what you've released.
So breathe and enjoy this peaceful and sacred release.
When you're ready,
Drink some water and stretch as you need to.
You may even want to go for a walk outside and feel the fresh air on your skin before returning to your day,
Clear and refreshed.
Notice how this simple but powerful ritual can help you feel freer in general.
You can repeat this ritual as often as you like.
