Do you feel you don't have time to meditate? Are you a crises meditator? If you only meditate when you are in trouble, this is a perfect meditation to help you begin a daily meditation practice. When you give yourself 5 minutes a day to connect with your inner source, you are more likely to create a habit of meditating. This practice will help you feel centred and balanced, making it great to do before space clearing, after having a fight, or when you feel scattered (lose your keys, misplace your phone, forget important appointments, etc.).

GROUNDING MEDITATION Grounding meditation.

Hi,

This is Ana Barreto.

I'm the author of the book,

Women,

Rising Beams,

10 Wisdoms of a Brazilian Mother for Daily,

Easy Flow,

And Conscious Living.

This meditation is in Chapter 4.

I recommend that you do this meditation prior to working with energy,

When feeling is scattered,

Distractor,

Overwhelmed,

Or needing additional support.

Find a comfortable place where you won't be interrupted for at least 15 minutes.

Sit with your back straight if possible.

Say these words out loud.

This is a sacred space,

And so it is.

This is a sacred space,

And so it is.

This house is a sacred space,

And so it is.

Now,

Close your eyes and connect with your space,

The pillows,

The chair.

Feel the fabric of your clothes and the temperature of the air.

Acknowledge any noise that may be in the background,

But release it with no attachment.

Take three long,

Deep,

And slow breaths.

Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Breathe in and breathe out.

On the third breath,

Hold your breath for nine seconds and breathe out through your mouth.

Concentrate on your breathing.

Relax your scalp.

Relax your eyes and the muscles of your face.

Relax your jaws.

Relax your neck and keep breathing.

Relax your shoulders.

We tend to hold stress in this area.

Relax your arms,

Hands,

And fingers.

Remember to breathe.

Relax your upper back and your lower back.

Relax your abdomen.

Relax your hips and buttocks.

Relax your legs.

Keep breathing slowly.

Relax your feet and your toes.

Now,

Bring your attention to the top of your head.

Imagine a beautiful stream of light circulating about nine inches above your head.

You can choose the color pink or gold.

This is a healing light that will remove any energy that no longer serves you.

This light is bright and is getting brighter and brighter with each breath you take.

Imagine this light coming down through the top of your head,

Down through your forehead,

Circulating around your eyes,

Nose,

Mouth,

And throat.

Remember to keep breathing.

The light continues down your neck,

Shoulders,

Heart,

Stomach,

Arm,

Hands,

And fingers,

Down the base of your spine,

Down your legs,

Your feet,

And comes out through the tip of your toes.

The light continues down into the earth,

Going down,

Down,

And down until it reaches the center of earth.

There,

You will find a heavy anchor.

Imagine that you tie the light to the anchor with a big secure knot.

Keep breathing in and out,

And stay there for a bit and feel the earth's energy.

Now,

Bring the supportive,

Loving energy of Mother Earth up through the strings of light,

Up through your toes,

Feet,

And leg,

And up the base of your spine.

Stay in this area where your bottom meets the chair.

Feel the stream of light getting wider and leaving a bulk of energy in this area to keep you supported and safe.

Now,

Bring the light up your lower back and your upper back,

Through your heart,

Shoulders,

Neck,

And throat.

Allow the light to continue up through your nose,

Eyes,

Forehead,

And up through the top of your head into the sky.

Take a moment and feel all of the calming energy coursing through your body.

Next,

Concentrate on your breathing.

As our mentally counting,

Each breath has one,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

Exhale,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight,

Nine.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Focus your attention on your heart while you continue to breathe in and out.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Know that you are supported by the spirit of Mother Earth and all that you need or desire will be given to you with ease and flow.

You may slowly open your eyes,

Rub your hands gently together,

And stay there for a minute or so until you are present in the space and reality.

Now,

You are ready to make some strong changes in your life.
