Good morning and welcome to the artist morning.
My name is Darius and this is a 20 minute guided meditation intended to help you start your day feeling more grounded,
More centered and more focused.
For those of you that are catching us live at the artist morning,
At the end of the meditation I will put 15 minutes on the clock and invite you to do some journaling.
For those of you that are catching us on a replay,
You can do the same at home as well.
Feeling whatever came up for you during this meditation as inspiration for you to begin your day connecting,
Feeling and expressing what's real for you.
I invite you now to take a nice easy deep breath and if your eyes are open,
Close them now as we go inwards together.
Noticing if you're holding any tension in your body this morning,
It might be subtle or it might be loud.
Scan from the top of your head down to your feet.
Feel any stagnant energy,
Any stiffness perhaps in your shoulders,
In your back,
Maybe in your hips.
Taking a nice deep breath now as we get closer to our bodies,
As we get closer to our heart.
Feeling the support beneath you,
Bringing your awareness to any part of your body that is making contact with your seat or your bed.
Feeling the stability and support beneath you now.
Taking a deep breath,
Bringing your shoulders up towards your ears and on your exhale just let it all go.
Feeling what it's like to let it go.
Letting go of your breath,
Letting go of your voice,
Your shoulders.
What does it feel like to just release?
Let you now to release any tension in your head,
Maybe in your forehead.
Take a breath and soften,
Soften.
Soften the muscles in your forehead.
Soften your eyes.
Slightly opening your mouth and just bringing a gentle calming softness to your jaw now.
And just letting it go.
Bringing that softness to melt any tension in your shoulders,
Any tension in your back.
And notice as this gentle warm softness,
It drapes across your body,
Down your back,
Your hips.
It's at your thighs now softening,
Softening.
All the way down to your ankles,
Your toes.
And I invite you to take a deep breath and on your exhale just sigh.
Let your voice be heard here and listen and feel and hear your voice from the inside as it reverberates up your diaphragm into your throat,
Out your mouth.
Staying in connection with the small micro vibrations that your voice creates from within.
Deep breath in and making a little noise.
Deep breath in.
And just staying honest with what it's like this morning for you to let go of your voice,
For it to be heard even in a slight way.
Maybe you like the sound and the feeling of your voice releasing and maybe you really don't.
Wherever you're at,
It's okay.
There's no right or wrong way of doing this.
We're just connecting with what's real for us this morning.
One last time,
Deep inhale and a little noise on the way out.
Dropping your shoulders again to the ground,
Allowing this softness to work its way through you in the most loving,
Gentle way.
I want you to take your hands and turn the palms of your hands down and place them on your thighs now.
And as we take our breath in and as we release,
I want you to let it all go and imagine any stagnant,
Any unneeded energy is going to work its way through your hands into your thighs and into the ground,
Into the sacred ground in which you reside in this moment.
Another earth,
Our home.
She is here,
Stable,
Secure and consistent beneath you and me now.
If you have any anxious energy,
Any unfocused energy,
I invite you to neutralizing that energy by regulating your nervous system through deep breaths.
And on your exhale,
Imagine any anxious energy coming through the palms of your hands into your thighs,
Down your legs,
Into your feet and into the earth.
Imagine Mother Earth welcoming the energy and transforming that energy into something useful,
Into something nourishing for other parts of the planet.
Breathing in,
Bringing calm,
Nourishing energy into your system,
Breathing out,
Letting go of anything that no longer serves you,
Watching as it is absorbed by the earth beneath you.
You're going to do this a few more times on your own,
Each time more calm,
Centered energy with your inhale and each time releasing any tension,
Any anxiousness inside you with your exhale,
Noticing how easy it is to just let it go and allow Mother Earth to take it in and make something useful with it.
Breathing in,
Bringing calm,
Gentle groundedness,
Breathing out,
Releasing tension and anxiety through the palms of your hands,
Into your legs,
Into the strong,
Sturdy ground beneath you.
With each breath,
Feeling more grounded,
With each breath allowing your body to soften,
And 1% softer,
Gentler and more loving is progress.
Taking a deep breath in,
Allowing for joy to live inside you at your center.
Perhaps,
Trying on a small smile on your lips and just noticing how that feels this morning.
With each breath feeling more grounded,
A little lighter.
I'm going to stay quiet for the rest of this last song and let you feel and connect with your body,
With your heart,
And with all of you.
Bravo,
Dear artist.
Bravo,
Dear creator.
Wherever you went,
However far you traveled,
Whatever you felt or did not feel,
I honor and respect you for carving out a little bit of time this morning for yourself,
For your heart,
For your human,
And for your soul.
For those of you that are joining us live at the artist's morning,
I'll put 15 minutes on the clock and give you some time and space to express whatever came up for you through some journaling this morning.
And if you're joining us on a replay,
I invite you to do the same.
Put 15 minutes on your own clock and use your pen and paper as your canvas and as a tool to express your heart.
Thank you for meditating with us this morning.
It's been an honor.
My name's Darius,
And I'll see you next time.
