And just invite yourself to move into relationship with your beingness here in this moment.
And taking a gentle breath in to a count of four,
Slow,
Easy release to a count of six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
And one.
Two and one.
Beautiful.
And of course,
If you'd like to welcome in the soothing,
Havening touch,
We do recommend it.
Just deepen the experience and allow your system to calm and be soothed,
As well as to move more deeply into some of the associations we'll be connecting with right now.
So let's start by turning our awareness to the tippy top of our head.
And as we continue with a gentle,
Steady breath,
Invite yourself to connect and work.
Let's do a gentle,
Slow body scan.
Going from the tippy top of your head,
Down,
Noticing your mind,
Down to your core.
Check in on your right arm,
Breathing in,
And as you exhale,
We're going to check in on our left arm,
Staying high.
Breathing in again to our core,
Down to our sit bones.
And at your own slow,
Gentle pace,
Breathing,
Noticing your legs,
Your knees,
Your calves and ankles,
And all the way down to the tippy toes of your toes.
Now invite your attention to drift back up your body and notice if there's a particular part of your body that would like a little extra love or attention,
Part of your body that's been working a little harder than the rest,
Perhaps part of your body that gets a lot of less than preferable attention sometimes.
Many of us have learned that there are certain parts of our bodies that are not preferable or ideal,
That carry pain,
Parts of our beingness that have to work extra hard just to be accepted,
For your body to share with you.
I want you to use a little extra attention this morning.
Once you've found that part of your body,
A gentle,
Soothing breath in,
Invite it to become the center of your awareness,
Moving into intentional relationship with it.
And as you continue deepening your breath,
Welcome it into this moment and let it know you care.
Another deepening breath to a count of four,
Three,
Two,
And one.
Notice the name of the location of this body part,
Or knee,
And exhale gently.
Just noticing what is this body part called?
It's an elbow,
Maybe even a big toe.
Just repeat the name of this body part in your mind gently and lovingly a couple of times in your mind,
Acknowledging its presence.
If you notice any emotions showing up,
Any jobs,
Any extra data around this body part that are in addition to its location,
Invite them to step back and just notice what this part of you is.
So often our body is given stories and responsibilities by our thinking brain,
By our emotional brain.
We lose sight.
These are just parts of our vessel,
Of our organism.
The pinky is a pinky,
And the knee is a knee.
We're just holding space to continue that gentle breath,
To allow this part of us to be exactly what it was designed to be.
No extra responsibilities,
No additional jobs right now,
No past or future.
It's a part of your beautiful beingness here.
And with another gentle,
Soothing breath,
As you exhale,
Imagine any tension or any responsibilities being let go and released into the air around you.
And breathing in again,
And releasing anything extra that does not belong to this part.
And as we bring this exercise to a gentle close,
Thank this body part for participating.
Notice the gifts of this part of you,
What this part of you allow you to do because it simply exists as a part of your beautiful beingness.
And with another soothing,
Gentle breath in,
And rest your hands,
And go ahead and return to this moment.
