We all want to greet the day from a state of relaxed rejuvenation.
And unfortunately,
That's not always how we wake up.
If you're anything like me,
You may not be a morning person.
That doesn't mean that we don't have the capacity to create the morning state that we desire.
As we've been talking about,
One of the greatest gifts that our brain has is this thing called neural plasticity.
We can design the brain that we want to navigate the world with.
This is a quick guided meditation to help you get your day off on the right foot.

So I'd like to invite you to take a gentle breath in.
And as you do so,
Start scanning from the tippy top of your head down to the tippy toes of your toes,
Noticing any areas of tension,
Of lightness,
Any areas of ease or tightness.
Simply greeting all of the data that is currently being held in your body right now.
All data is good data.
And now,
I'd like to invite you to find a time in your life where you felt energized.
Just excited,
Curious.
The time where you noticed that your brain state shifted into one of active,
Positive alertness.
And then saturate your mind and your body in that memory.
You have the center focus of your awareness right now.
Notice the colors of that energetic state,
That way of being.
Notice if there's any temperature,
If there's an energetic state that surrounds it sparkly,
Prickly,
Whatever it might be.
Simply invite your mind and your body to explore more deeply into your chosen experience.
Suck it in,
That energetic state as you inhale.
Adding in that question,
What if I was?
What if I was energized?
Repeat along with me.
What if I was energized?
And if I was energized?
Inviting your mind to explore those possibilities.
Again,
Scanning from the tippy top of your head down to the tippy toes of your toes.
Inviting every single part of your mind and your body to lean in to the possibility of being energized right now.
Noticing how there's no pressure.
We're just being curious,
Exploring,
Pondering,
Wondering what would it feel like right now to have an energized sense.
And perhaps you might notice that a part of you starts to feel a little energized.
Maybe your left pinky or your baby toe.
Maybe behind your left knee starts to go,
I could be energized.
Maybe some little tiny part of your mind or your brain goes,
Yeah,
I could be energized.
That sounds nice.
Just welcoming in the possibility.
Breathing it in,
Noticing the colors and knowing that you felt this way before.
So you can deepen it right here,
Right now by leaning on that neural memory from your past and bringing it into the present.
And I'm going to invite you to continue with this meditation on your own.
Noticing the nuances and the details of what it means for you to be in your preferred energetic state because everybody's state is unique.
Invite you to continue to breathe in these colors.
Continue to ponder that what if.
And if it feels right for you,
Moving it to the I can be,
I will be,
Or even the ownership of I am,
If that feels right for you.
And knowing that if you start every day with this simple exercise,
This loving,
Havening touch,
Is reminiscing about times in your life where you felt a preferred state.
You're deepening your brain's connection to these experiences and making them more likely to happen every single day.
How powerful is that?
