In moments where the tempers flare,

I breathe in slow,

Release the air.

Each thought that rises,

Let it be,

I hold my calm intentionally.

Their words may cut or test my will,

Yet stillness grows when I sit still.

I watch reactions come and go,

A river flowing soft and slow.

Patience blooms within my chest,

A quiet strength that knows no rest.

I meet their challenge with a pause,

A mindful heart without a cause.

I am not swept by anger's tide,

I step aside,

Let peace abide.

Their storm does not define my mind,

Compassion shapes the space I find.

I listen fully without blame and speak with care,

Not seeking fame.

Each interaction a chance to learn,

Each moment passes,

Each return.

I close my eyes,

Release the weight,

With patience love can cultivate.

In challenging hearts I see my own,

And in this stillness I am grown.
