Find a comfortable seated position and gently close your eyes.
Take a moment to center yourself,
Feeling the weight of your body supported by the ground beneath you.
Begin by bringing your attention to your breath.
With each inhale,
Imagine yourself gently lifting off the ground,
Soaring into the sky.
Feel the expansiveness of the air around you as you breathe in and release as you exhale.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Visualize yourself flying high above the world,
Observing the interconnectedness of all living beings below.
From this elevated perspective,
Feel a sense of empathy and compassion blossoming within you as you recognize the shared humanity of every individual.
Now think of someone in your life who may be experiencing suffering or hardship.
Visualize them standing before you,
Their struggles and pain palpable.
With each breath,
Send them waves of empathy and understanding,
Wrapping them in a cloak of compassion and support.
Next,
Turn your attention inward and reflect on your own experiences of pain and difficulty.
Without judgment,
Acknowledge the emotions that arise within you.
Allow yourself to fully feel and honor these emotions,
Recognizing that they are an integral part of the human experience.
Now imagine yourself extending compassion towards your own suffering self,
Just as you did for others.
Envision wrapping your arms around yourself in a loving embrace,
Offering words of comfort and encouragement.
Feel the warmth of self-compassion filling your heart and soul.
As we come to the end of this meditation,
Take a moment to express gratitude for the capacity to cultivate empathy within yourself.
Know that this practice can ripple outwards,
Creating positive change in both your own life and the lives of those around you.

Gently open your eyes,
Bringing the spirit of empathy with you into the world.
