Thank you for joining me.
Please find yourself in a comfortable position.
And if you're not there now,
Please make any adjustments you need to,
To be comfortable,
Feel supported,
And relax fully.
Then you can close your eyes and begin to tune inward,
Focusing on the breath,
Noticing where it's at right now,
And then consciously choosing to slow it down,
Make it deeper and more full.
Scanning through the body,
Allowing the shoulders to fall away from the ears,
Allowing the tongue and the jaw to relax,
The eyes to be soft,
The belly and the chest to be open,
Available and interested in being here today.
Today's journey is going to take us to the beach.
In your mind's eye,
I'd like you to imagine a beach by the ocean.
It could be somewhere you've been before.
Or it could be somewhere you'd like to go or somewhere completely imaginary.
You're standing just before the sand,
Ready to put that first foot down into the sand.
And as you do so,
Noticing the feel of the sand beneath your toes,
You can feel the hotter sand on top and the cooler sand underneath.
And as you place both feet down,
You begin to walk forward,
Closer to the ocean,
Looking for the perfect place to sit down and drink in everything that's around you.
Continuing to allow the body to relax,
The mind to be focused,
And the heart to be open and willing to relax and just be present with whatever happens on this journey.
You find a place to sit down.
Maybe it's on the sand.
Maybe there's a chair.
Doesn't really matter.
It's your imagination,
Your place.
As you sit,
You can feel the sand on your hands,
Maybe the backs of your legs.
And then you begin to notice what other sensations you can feel.
Maybe there's a warm sun on your face and your chest.
Maybe there's a cool breeze.
Maybe you've sat close enough to the water that you can feel it on your feet or your legs.
Wherever you are,
Be all here.
Breathing in the sensations on your skin.
Noticing now the sounds that are around you.
Maybe you can hear the sounds of the ocean,
The waves out in the ocean or lapping on the beach.
Maybe there's animals around you,
Sounds of birds,
Sea otters.
Maybe there's sounds of people around you or boats.
Take an inventory of what you hear.
Judgment free.
Just letting it be and allowing to stay what's most useful to you.
Since this is your environment,
You can ask things to leave or just stop imagining them and bring in what you'd like to feel and hear.
Checking back in with your body.
Feeling it relaxed in the sand.
Shoulders are away from the ears.
Eyes are gently closed.
The breath is easy,
Long and luscious inhales and exhales.
The mind is soft and present.
Being fully aware of all that is around you at this beach.
Allowing everything to feel like a healing source,
A relaxing source.
Knowing that in this place,
In this space,
You don't have to show up.
You don't have to put on a mask.
You don't have any responsibilities.
You don't have any worries.
You are allowed to simply lounge,
Relax and soak in all the goodness of this nature.
Here in this space,
You are safe.
You are free.
If something is from your mind creeps in that is unwanted,
Acknowledge it and then ask it to leave.
Remembering always that you are the sky.
Strong,
Stable,
Consistent and your thoughts are clouds.
They simply float in and out.
They don't need to be interacted with.
You can gently blow them away with a soft breeze and tell yourself,
I don't need to think about that right now.
I am here in this nature bath with my feet in the sand,
My sun fully present on my face.
Sound of the waves and the wildlife easily heard around me.
Relaxed,
Still,
Present,
Still.
Taking deep,
Easy breaths.
Allowing your breath to be the anchor to this place.
You begin to notice that the sun has been covered by a cloud and you can smell on the breeze the faint smell of rain.
And you know what's coming is a cleansing,
Warm rain as it begins to hit your skin ever so softly.
Bathing you,
Cleaning you,
Washing away stress.
As you feel the drops hitting your body,
They feel welcoming,
They feel good.
Allowing this gentle rainstorm to relax,
Clean the air.
Feeling the drops on your face.
Allowing you to relax.
Noticing your body,
Relaxing any tension that may have crept in.
Continuing to take deep,
Healing breaths.
And slowly the rain begins to subside and you can feel the warm sun coming again to dry you off,
Warm you up,
To give you a nice solar charge.
Tuning in to the sounds of the waves.
Tuning in to the sounds of the wildlife.
Tuning in to the feel of the sand.
Tuning in to your sense of relaxation,
Calmness,
Centered,
Grounding here on this beach.
You feel connected.
You feel alive.
You feel centered.
And you know that you can come back to this place anytime you like.
This is your beach,
Your spot.
You can cultivate this relaxation,
This sense of peace whenever you need it.
Noticing now how your body is feeling,
How your mind is,
And what emotions may be going on for you.
Remembering what it feels like to be in this space.
You can stay here as long as you like.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
