In this meditation,
We will be affirming statements to use either before or during driving.
Starting by noticing where you are right now,
Both mentally and physically.
Exploring your body and noticing any tension.
Breathing into those places of tension and allowing it to roll off.
Taking a moment to explore your mind,
Especially if you're in the middle of driving and you've experienced some tension or some negativity or a scary moment.
Take a moment now to collect yourself and deepen your breath.
This focus is intended to ease your driving.
Relax your mind and settle your body.
As I state each affirmation,
You may repeat them after me or you may simply listen to them and allow them to soak in.
I breathe deeply and drive mindfully.
I am a calm driver.
I am emotionally balanced while driving.
I drive at a safe speed.
I keep a healthy distance from other cars.
I drive neither defensively nor offensively.
I do not engage mentally or physically with aggressive drivers.
I let the decisions of other drivers roll off my shoulders.
I keep my thoughts positive and helpful while I am driving.
I have plenty of time to get where I am going.
I make space for unexpected occurrences and respond to them with grace and ease.
I give other drivers around me the benefit of the doubt.
Driving is a breeze for me.
I breathe deeply and drive mindfully.
