Thank you for joining me.
Please make sure you're in a restful place,
A place where you feel comfortable,
Safe,
And at ease.
Begin by focusing on your inhale and exhale.
Allowing your breath to deepen and widen and fill your lungs completely.
Take a moment to notice your body.
Allow your shoulders to fall away from your ears.
Allow your jaw to relax.
Allow your eyes and temples to soften.
Allow the body to feel fully supported by whatever is underneath you.
Knowing that this structure is holding you,
Supporting you,
It has you.
You're totally able to relax and let go.
I'd like you now to imagine you have a root or a chord traveling out from your spine,
Down into the floor,
Through the space that you may be located in,
And down into the ground,
Through the many layers of the earth,
Down towards the center of the earth,
Where at some point it branches out and grows roots just like a tree,
Grounding you,
Connecting you to the energy of the earth.
This energy,
This force,
Pulls your body and its system and its energy downward,
Allowing you to feel connected inside of your body,
Preventing the scattering of your energy.
Through this grounding chord,
You're able to release anything that is not serving you.
As you exhale each breath,
Allow whatever is not serving you,
You don't even have to know what that is,
To exit and ground down into the earth.
In addition,
This chord is there for nourishment.
You can ask for balance,
Grounding,
Positivity.
Anything that you do need can come up to support you through this grounding chord.
This chord is a pillar and a structure of strength.
As it connects to your body,
It moves up and strengthens your spine,
All the way from your tailbone to the very base of your skull.
It's strong and flexible.
It's holding you grounded to the earth.
As you continue to breathe deeply in and out through the nose,
If that's available to you,
Imagining that this chord is like your root system,
It allows you to be strong,
Grounded,
And flexible,
To bend and sway in the breeze just like a tree.
It is your core.
It is your strength.
Imagining yourself,
Head held high,
Arms out open wide like tree branches,
Expanding and open to the sun,
Open to life,
Able to move and go with the flow,
But always feeling strong.
As you visualize yourself with arms wide open,
Imagine that the front of your body is open and receptive,
Protected by this strong chord,
This strong spine,
Strong back.
You are able to open your front to life,
An openness,
A receptivity.
The palms are open.
The arms are open.
The chest is open.
The thorax is open.
The hips and the legs are open and receptive.
It's as if you're leaning into life,
As if you're saying,
Yes,
I can handle what comes my way.
I have a strong back and an open front.
Continuing to breathe deeply,
Nourishing the body with your breath,
Releasing things that do not serve you through the cord,
Sending your attention now to your chest,
To your heart region,
Imagining a bright shining light coming from this area,
A light so pure,
So curious,
So adventurous,
Filled with wonder.
It's allowed to be this way because it's supported by your strong back,
Your open front,
And your wild heart.
Your heart is wild with compassion,
Wild with empathy,
Wild with curiosity and wonder,
A place where you can truly meet the world,
Open to what comes next in your life.
Breathing here,
Imagining yourself as a stable,
Strong,
Curious,
Open person.
Take in the sensations that you feel surrounded by this energy,
Surrounded by these thoughts,
This visualization.
This is a strong place that you can always come back to if you're feeling weak,
If you're feeling unsure,
If you're feeling closed and cut off.
Come back to this place.
Thank you so much for joining me.
Keep that deep breath alive as you travel through the rest of your day.
