A subtle, yet powerful meditation on love for oneself and others. Throughout this practice, gentle guidance allows listeners to imagine the idea of love, think about those whom we love, and cultivate love as a collective purpose and way of being in the world. Beautiful music plays softly in the background.

Welcome.

Let's find a comfortable position and close the eyes.

Let's take a few breaths together.

Deep inhale and exhale,

Let it go.

See if you can relax the shoulders.

Relax the physical body.

Start to settle into your position,

Into the cushion or chair or the floor.

Wherever you may be,

Start to find comfort.

Let's take another inhale together and exhale,

Let it go.

See if you can relax the jaw,

The muscles across the forehead and around the eyes.

Soften into this space that we are creating together,

This healing space.

One last breath,

Deep inhale and exhale,

Release.

With the eyes closed,

Draw your attention inward.

Start to tune out the outer world,

Any distractions,

Any noises that you may hear.

Continue to relax and settle and bring yourself into the present moment.

Let's take a moment and call to mind someone we love.

Hold that image,

Focus in on the image of the person that came to mind.

Keep your attention on that person,

On their features,

Perhaps on the sound of how they laugh.

Perhaps think of their kindness or their compassion.

Notice what happens when we think of love and the people we love.

The shoulders begin to relax a little bit more,

The body settles into its position a little bit more and we feel a little more connected to the unity of life,

The oneness of all things.

Continue to think about the person or people you love and allow the mind to wander.

Perhaps you thought of one person or thing and now the mind is expanding and more people are coming to mind.

All the experiences we've had,

Where love was present,

Are coming to mind.

Let's take a moment and call to mind someone we love.

Perhaps you thought of one person or thing and now the mind is expanding and more people are coming to mind.

As we begin to cultivate this feeling,

This palpable feeling of love,

Place the hands over the heart any way you like,

Finding love within ourselves,

Within the mind and now within the body.

This is what sustains us throughout the days and the nights,

Throughout the years,

Throughout all of the challenges,

Love remains.

Love for ourselves and for others,

This is what sustains us.

To give and receive love,

This is our collective purpose.

Let's take another breath together,

Deep inhale and exhale,

Let it go.

And if the hands are still over the heart and you'd like to relax the hands,

Please do that now.

And if the eyes are closed,

Gently blink the eyes open.

Have a beautiful day.
