Hello,
Today we'll be guided through a resilience grounding meditation.
Find yourself in a comfortable position,
Laying down,
Sitting,
Or even standing.
Eyes can be closed or soft,
Palms can be face up for more energy or face down for more grounding.
Taking a few deep breaths to begin in through the nose and out the mouth.
Softening the shoulders away from the ears,
Softening the jaw,
Softening the space between the brows.
Tuning in your awareness to the sense of grounding,
Imagining that you're a seed planted in the ground.
The soil is rich with nutrients and you water your seed every day to continue to nourish it.
The sun shines down on you to help you grow.
Imagine the energy of your roots growing down,
Becoming firm,
Established,
Establishing that foundation.
What does that feel like?
And as you begin to grow out of the ground,
The sun continues to shine on you and you continue to grow taller and stronger each day as you continue to nourish yourself.
What does this nourishment look like?
Not just as this plant,
But as you,
Could it be doing this meditation,
Cooking yourself a nice meal,
Going on a walk,
Imagining all those little bits of nourishment flowing into you,
Continuing to nourish you,
Cultivating that sense of resilience with each inhale and grounding with each exhale.
And as you continue to grow taller,
There might be some storms,
Some turbulence,
And you may feel like you're blowing in the wind,
But remember that you're deeply rooted and you spent that time nourishing yourself and you will stay strong,
You will stay rooted as we continue to nourish ourselves.
Reaching yourself growing taller through the crown of your head and rooting deeper into the ground with your exhale.
Understanding what it feels like every time you're watered or you get some bright sun,
Recharged,
Renewed.
All that nourishment is there to help you maintain your resilience when there's a storm,
There's turbulent energy,
Something challenging comes up for you.
This is one way that we can build our resilience as we continue to weather some storms throughout our lives.
Make sure you continue to nourish yourself.
Again imagining what it would feel like or what you would look like,
Smile like right after you did something nourishing.
If you really took the time to nurture your soul,
Your mind,
And your body.
Holding on to that feeling,
Knowing that even now you're nurturing yourself with this breath,
With this practice.
The more that we nourish ourselves,
We're building our resilience and we can continue to show up not only for ourselves but for our community,
Our friends,
Our family.
Take another deep breath in,
Rooting down and exhale out.
Staying here as long as you'd like,
Imagining that nourishment flowing into you or you can return to the rest of your day.
