Lesson 1
Meet Your Anxiety
In this opening session, we slow down and do something most of us have never done: we turn toward anxiety instead of away from it. Through clear mindfulness teaching and a gentle guided visualization, you'll begin to experience anxiety not as a threat — but as a presence that has been trying to get your attention.
The session opens with a foundational teaching on why anxiety exists and what it is actually trying to do. You'll understand that anxiety is not a malfunction — it is your body's awareness system doing exactly what it was designed to do. This single reframe changes everything about how we relate to it.
From there, we move into practice. A gentle body scan helps you locate where anxiety lives in your body right now — without judgment, without trying to fix it. Then a guided visualization invites you to sit across from your anxiety for the very first time, and ask it one simple question that begins to shift the entire relationship.
You'll also be introduced to your breath anchor — a simple, repeatable breathwork practice rooted in yoga that you'll return to at the start of every session. Over five days, this breath becomes a signal to your nervous system that it is safe to slow down.
This session requires no prior experience. All you need is a quiet space and a willingness to get a little curious about what's going on inside.

Lesson 2
Give It A Name
Today we take one of the most powerful steps in this journey: giving your anxiety a name. Whether you call it Karen, Jeff, or something entirely your own — this simple mindfulness self-inquiry practice creates the distance you need to stop being consumed by anxiety and start having a real relationship with it.
The teaching segment explores why naming works from a mindfulness and self-awareness perspective. When we are caught inside anxiety, we become it — there is no separation. The moment we give it a name, something fundamental shifts. We move from being inside the experience to being the one who observes the experience. That gap between you and the feeling is where your freedom lives.
This is a core principle in mindfulness practice: the observer is never the same as what is being observed. Yoga philosophy calls this the witness consciousness — the part of you that can watch thoughts and feelings arise without being swept away by them. Naming your anxiety is one of the fastest ways to access that witness.
In the practice segment, you'll return to the visualization room from Day One and find a name for your anxiety persona. You'll sit with it, observe how it carries itself, and speak to it directly for the first time. The session closes with a journaling prompt — a reflective self-inquiry practice to deepen what arises in the meditation.
Most people feel a genuine shift in this session. The anxiety doesn't disappear — but it becomes something you are in relationship with, rather than something you are trapped inside. That is the heart of what this course is building.

Lesson 3
Listen To The Story
Anxiety speaks — constantly. But most of us are either completely swept away by what it says, or desperately trying to tune it out. Today we practice a third option: we learn to listen without automatically believing.
The teaching in this session introduces a simple five-step mindfulness reflection framework that helps you understand the full journey of an anxious moment — from what triggered it, to the story your anxiety told about it, to how that story made you feel in your body. This is mindfulness applied to real daily life, not just the meditation cushion.
You'll begin to see how anxious thinking works. Anxiety doesn't lie exactly, but it does exaggerate. It takes a grain of truth and builds an entire story around it. Understanding this pattern from the inside is one of the most liberating things you can do.
In the practice segment, you'll bring a recent moment of anxiety into your visualization and walk it through the first three steps of the reflection framework — the trigger, the story, and the feeling. You'll practice observing your anxiety's narrative without arguing with it, defending against it, or being swept away by it.
This is the most teaching-rich session in the course. By the end, you'll have a practical awareness tool you can use any time anxiety arises — not just in meditation, but in the middle of your actual life. The insight you gain here sets up everything that follows in Days Four and Five.

Lesson 4
Choose A New Response
Hearing your anxiety is not the same as obeying it. Today we learn one of the most empowering distinctions in this entire course — and practice it through both teaching and guided meditation.
The teaching segment opens with an important clarification: this course is not about suppressing anxiety or forcing positivity over a difficult feeling. That approach doesn't work — and most of us already know it from experience. What we are practicing is something more sophisticated. We are learning to acknowledge anxiety fully, examine what it's telling us, and then make a conscious, grounded choice about what to do next.
We complete the five-step mindfulness reflection framework introduced in Day Three. Steps four and five invite you to gently question the story your anxiety told — is it actually true? Is it helpful? — and then consciously choose a more honest, balanced, and grounded perspective. Not toxic positivity. Not forced affirmations. Just a truer story.
In yoga philosophy, this practice connects to the concept of viveka — discernment. The ability to distinguish between what is real and what is a mental overlay. Anxiety often speaks in overlays — worst-case scenarios, catastrophic interpretations, absolute statements. Viveka is the practice of seeing clearly through them.
The practice segment guides you through this full process with your named anxiety persona. You'll hear its story, examine it with gentle curiosity, and close with a simple personal affirmation that anchors your new relationship with anxiety. By the end of this session, you will feel genuinely different about your own capacity to respond to anxiety rather than react to it.

Lesson 5
We Can Coexist
This is where everything comes together. In our final session, we honor the journey you've taken this week — and release the need to eliminate anxiety. True peace isn't the absence of the anxious voice. It's learning to live alongside it with compassion, curiosity, and choice.
This is the culmination of everything we have built across five days. You have met your anxiety, named it, learned its language, and practiced setting boundaries with it. Today we take the final step: moving from sitting across from your anxiety to sitting beside it. From opposition to coexistence.
In the practice segment, you'll return to the visualization room one last time — but today the chairs are side by side. You'll offer your anxiety genuine compassion for the years it spent trying to protect you. You'll thank it, and gently invite it to take a back seat. And in the quiet that opens up, you'll ask yourself the most important question of the whole course: who am I when this voice isn't running the show?
The session closes with an integration practice and a clear invitation to carry everything you've built into your daily life beyond this course. Students leave not just feeling better — but genuinely transformed in how they understand and relate to their own mind.
