This is a guided meditation for practice number nine.

Set your sights on your North Star.

Once you've found your most comfortable seat,

You can close your eyes.

Place your feet on the floor.

Whatever part of your feet is making contact with the floor,

Notice that and anchor down into the earth through your feet.

If the full palm of your foot is on the floor,

You can ground down through your heels and all five of your toes.

Sense yourself rooted and connected to the earth through your feet.

And now bringing your awareness to your sit bones,

Notice where they're making contact with your chair,

With your cushion.

And from that point,

Notice you are anchored to the earth.

From this rooted place of the sit bones and the feet,

Begin to expand up through the spine and out through the chest.

Notice the vertebrae lengthening,

The chest expanding.

Your whole body is expanding out from the bones to the muscle to the skin and out into the room.

And then pulling in again to your center from the room to your skin,

To your muscles,

To your bones,

And right into the very center of your core.

Getting curious here about where your center is,

Where does your body lead from?

And now with your eyes closed,

I'd like for you to imagine something off in the distance that you lock your drishti onto.

It's a spiritual focal point.

It's within you but also beyond you.

It's what leads you to something greater.

It's your purpose.

It's what all the fruits of these nine practices have brought you to.

Keep your drishti there.

Notice the connection from your feet,

Your sit bones,

The center of your power in your core reaching up,

Expanding from bone to muscle to skin through your drishti out there in front of you to your North Star.

Let your breath travel this line of connection.

You are completely aligned and connected.

Releasing anything that's standing in the way of you being fully present right now and fully connected.

Connected to your roots and what grounds you.

Connected to the power of your core and connected to your North Star.

Let the breath continue to travel this line from the earth to your feet,

To your sit bones,

To the center of your power in the core,

From your bones to your muscles to your skin,

To all the space that surrounds you.

Let everything in you and around you orient itself towards your North Star.

And now coming back,

Back to your center,

Your power,

Taking that with you off of your mat,

Off of your cushion,

Into your way of being.

Let your breath continue to travel this line from the earth to your feet.
