Namaskaram!
I'm Ananya.
As you listen,
Allow the body to rest just as it is.
There is nothing you need to do.
Nothing you need to change.
Simply listen and let rest come to you naturally.
Begin by arriving exactly where you are.
The day is complete.
There is nothing left to attend to right now.
Nothing left to resolve.
Whatever happened today has already happened.
For these moments,
You are not required to carry it.
Allow the body to rest in the position it has naturally chosen.
Notice the surface beneath you.
How it receives your weight.
You do not need to hold yourself together anymore.
You do not need to stay organized or alert.
If the eyes are open,
They may soften gently.
If the eyes are closed,
They may rest comfortably behind the eyelids.
Sounds may be present,
Some close,
Some distant.
They do not need interpretation.
They do not need response.
They can pass through awareness without effort.
The mind may still be active.
Replaying moments from the day.
Remembering conversations.
Anticipating tomorrow.
This is natural.
There is nothing wrong with you if thoughts are still present.
Tonight,
You are not trying to sleep.
You are simply allowing the body to unwind from being awake.
Rest does not need to be forced.
Sleep does not need to be chased.
As these words reach you,
The nervous system begins to recognize that it is safe to slow down.
A quiet reassurance spreads.
You are allowed to let the day go now.
Begin by gently noticing the weight of your body.
Not creating heaviness.
Simply sensing what is already there.
Feel the back of the head resting.
The neck supported without effort.
Allow the scalp to soften.
As though the skin itself is loosening.
The forehead smooths.
The space between the eyebrows widens.
Eyes resting deeply.
No need to focus.
No need to look inward.
Cheeks soften.
The jaw releases.
You may notice how often the jaw holds the day.
Allow it to let go now.
Teeth resting apart naturally.
The tongue resting wide and easy in the mouth.
Notice the throat area.
Allow it to feel open and unstrained.
Bring awareness to the shoulders.
Often carrying responsibility.
Often carrying effort.
Without forcing,
Allow them to drop.
Even a small release is enough.
Arms resting alongside the body or resting gently on the body.
Hands relaxed.
Fingers loose.
There is nothing to grip.
Nothing to manage.
Now notice the chest.
The subtle movement as breath flows in and out.
Breathing is happening naturally.
Just as it has all day.
There is no need to change it.
No need to guide it.
With each natural exhale,
The body may feel a little more settled.
The belly softens.
No need to hold it in.
The lower back eases.
The hips begin to release their grip.
You may notice places of tension.
You do not need to fix them.
Simply noticing often allows release to begin.
Thighs resting heavily.
Knees supported.
Calves softening.
Feet warming.
Toes resting without effort.
The body is now being held completely.
Nothing is left unsupported.
Now allow awareness to turn inward gently.
Not focusing.
Not concentrating.
Simply sensing the feeling of being here.
There is a natural intelligence within the body that knows how to release.
It does not need instructions.
It responds to permission.
As the body lies still,
The nervous system begins to unwind.
The effort of the day starts to loosen its hold.
You may notice sensations shifting.
Warmth.
Heaviness.
Softness.
You may notice emotions surfacing.
Or emotions settling.
All of this is welcome.
Thoughts may continue to appear.
This is not a problem.
You do not need to engage with them.
Thoughts can be allowed to drift like distant echoes.
They pass through without requiring your attention.
Underneath the movement of thought is a quieter layer of awareness.
This layer does not analyze.
It does not plan.
It simply rests.
You do not need to reach it.
You do not need to stay with it.
It is already holding you.
The body continues to release in its own timing.
Muscles soften when they are ready.
The mind lets go when it feels safe.
There is no urgency here.
You may feel a sense of closure to the day.
As if the body understands that nothing more is required.
The need to stay alert fades.
If sleep begins to approach,
You do not need to resist it.
If sleep does not come yet,
You are still resting deeply.
Either way,
The system is unwinding.
You are no longer trying.
The words become slower now.
There is more space between them.
The breath becomes quieter.
The body feels heavier.
As if gently sinking into the surface below.
Thoughts thin out.
Longer gaps appear between them.
Awareness softens.
The edges of the body blur.
The sense of time begins to fade.
There is nothing to track.
Nothing to remember.
Just resting.
Being held.
Breathing.
Settling.
Letting go.
There is nothing more you need to hear.
Nothing more you need to do.
You may continue resting here.
Or allow sleep to arrive naturally.
No effort.
No expectation.
The words fade now.
Silence remains.
Holding you.
Resting with you.
