Namaskaram,
I'm Ananya.
As you listen,
Allow the body to rest just as it is.
There is nothing you need to do.
Nothing you need to change.
Simply listen and let rest come to you naturally.
Begin by arriving exactly where you are.
There is nothing you need to adjust.
Nothing you need to improve.
This moment is already enough.
The body has found a place to rest.
The mind has found a pause from doing.
For now,
You are not required to think clearly.
You are not required to be calm.
You are simply allowed to be here.
Allow the body to lie in the position it has naturally chosen.
Notice how it rests without effort.
Feel the surface beneath you.
How it supports your weight fully.
You do not need to hold yourself together.
You do not need to stay organized.
If the eyes are open,
They may soften gently.
If the eyes are closed,
They may rest easily behind the eyelid.
Sounds may be present around you.
Some close.
Some distant.
They do not require your attention.
They can pass through awareness freely.
The mind may still be active.
Thoughts may be moving quickly.
Or looping.
This is not a problem.
You are not here to stop thoughts.
You are not here to manage the mind.
Tonight,
The mind is allowed to unwind in its own way.
As these words reach you,
The nervous system begins to receive reassurance.
A quiet signal that nothing needs to be solved right now.
You are safe to rest.
Begin by noticing the natural weight of your body.
Not forcing heaviness.
Just sensing what is already there.
Feel the back of the head resting.
The neck supported.
Allow the scalp to soften.
As though the skin itself is loosening.
The forehead smooths.
The space between the eyebrows widens.
Eyes resting deeply.
No need to focus.
Cheeks soften.
The jaw releases its grip.
Teeth resting apart naturally.
The tongue resting quietly in the mouth.
Notice the throat area.
Allow it to feel open and unstrained.
Bring awareness to the shoulders.
Often shaped by thinking.
Often shaped by effort.
Without asking them to relax.
Allow gravity to receive them.
Even a small release is enough.
Arms resting alongside the body.
Or resting gently on the body.
Hands relax.
Fingers loose.
Nothing to hold.
Nothing to grasp.
Now notice the chest.
The subtle movement of breath.
Breathing is happening naturally.
No need to guide it.
You are not required to slow the breath.
You are not required to deepen it.
Simply allowing breathing to continue.
On its own rhythm.
With each natural exhale,
A tension begins to soften.
Not pulled outward.
Not pulled inward.
Just resting.
Notice the belly.
Allow it to soften.
The lower back eases.
The hips release their grip.
Thighs resting heavily.
Knees supported.
Calves softening.
Feet warming.
Toes resting without intention.
The body is now being held completely.
Nothing needs to be held by you.
Now allow awareness to gently turn inward.
Not focusing.
Not listening.
Not observing.
Simply sensing the quality of this moment.
Thoughts may still be present.
This is natural.
There is no need to push them away.
No need to engage with them.
Thoughts can be allowed to float through the mind.
Like mist passing through open space.
They appear.
They move.
They dissolve when they are ready.
You do not need to follow them.
You do not need to finish them.
Between thoughts,
There are small gaps.
Moments of space.
You are not required to notice these gaps.
They happen naturally.
As effort withdraws,
The mind begins to thin.
Thoughts slow.
Or feel more distant.
Some may repeat.
Even repetition is allowed.
Repetition does not need attention.
Underneath the activity of thought,
There is a sense of openness.
A spaciousness that does not think.
You do not need to find this space.
You do not need to stay in it.
It is already present.
The mind begins to recognize that it does not need to narrate this moment.
Nothing needs explanation.
Nothing needs understanding.
The thinking mind can rest now.
If a thought arises,
It is met with softness.
If no thought arises,
That is also fine.
There is no correct mental state.
This practice is not about silence.
It is about allowing silence to appear on its own.
As effort dissolves,
Thoughts naturally fade.
Not all at once.
Not dramatically.
Gently.
Like evening light fading into night.
The body grows heavier.
The mind grows quieter.
Awareness becomes less focused.
More diffuse.
You may feel as though you are drifting.
Or floating.
You may feel as though you are disappearing into rest.
All experiences are welcome.
You do not need to stay aware.
You do not need to stay awake.
This is rest without effort.
The words become slower now.
There is more space between them.
Breath becomes quieter.
The body feels deeply heavy.
As if settling into stillness.
Thoughts become fewer.
Longer pauses appear between them.
Awareness softens further.
Edges blur.
Time becomes less important.
There is nothing to follow.
Nothing to remember.
Just resting.
Being held.
Being allowed to fade.
The mind no longer needs to think.
The body no longer needs to brace.
This is quiet without effort.
This is stillness without force.
You may remain here.
Or drift gently into sleep.
Both are natural.
Nothing more is required.
There is nothing more you need to hear.
Nothing more you need to do.
You may continue resting here.
Or allow sleep to arrive naturally.
No effort.
No awareness required.
The words fade now.
Silence remains.
Holding you.
Resting you.
