Namaskaram.
I'm Ananya.
As you listen,
Allow the body to rest just as it is.
There is nothing you need to do.
Nothing you need to change.
Simply listen and let rest come to you naturally.
Begin by noticing that you have already arrived.
There is nowhere else you need to go.
The body has found a place to rest.
The mind has found a moment to pause.
There is nothing you need to accomplish here.
Nothing you need to achieve.
Sleep is not something you have to make happen.
Rest is not something you have to earn.
For now,
Simply allow yourself to be held by this moment.
Let the body lie exactly as it is,
The position it naturally chose.
Notice the surface beneath you,
How it supports your weight without asking anything in return.
You do not need to hold yourself up.
You do not need to stay alert.
If the eyes are open,
They may gently soften.
If the eyes are closed,
They may rest easily behind the eyelids.
Sounds may exist around you,
Some close,
Some far away.
You do not need to identify them.
You do not need to follow them.
They can come and go on their own.
The mind may still be active,
Thinking,
Reviewing,
Anticipating.
This is not a problem.
Nothing here needs to change.
Tonight,
You are not required to solve sleep.
You are not required to monitor your progress.
You are simply allowing the nervous system to remember how to rest.
Breathing continues naturally.
No guidance needed.
And as these words reach you,
The body begins to recognize safety.
A sense of reassurance spreads quietly.
You are allowed to rest now.
Bring gentle awareness to the natural weight of your body.
Not forcing heaviness,
Just noticing what is already present.
Feel the back of the head resting,
The neck supported.
Allow the scalp to soften,
As if the skin itself is loosening.
The forehead smooths.
The space between the eyebrows widens.
Eyes resting comfortably.
No effort behind them.
Cheeks soften.
The jaw releases its grip.
Teeth resting apart naturally.
The tongue resting quietly in the mouth.
Notice the throat area.
Allow it to feel open and unstrained.
Bring awareness to the shoulders,
Often carrying the weight of the day.
Without effort,
Allow them to drop,
Even slightly.
Arms resting.
Hands relaxed.
Nothing to hold.
Nothing to grasp.
Now notice the chest.
The subtle movement as breath flows in and out.
Breathing is happening all by itself,
Just as it should.
There is no need to slow it.
No need to deepen it.
Simply noticing.
With each natural exhale,
The body may feel a little more settled.
The belly softens.
No need to hold it in.
The lower back eases.
The hips release.
Thighs resting heavily.
Knees supported.
Calves softening.
Feet warming.
Toes at ease.
The whole body resting now as one connected field of sensation.
Nothing needs to move.
Nothing needs to happen.
Now allow awareness to gently turn inward.
Not focusing.
Not concentrating.
Simply sensing what it feels like to be here.
There is a deeper part of you that already knows how to rest.
This part does not speak in words.
It responds to safety.
As the body lies still,
The nervous system begins to downshift.
The alertness of the day is no longer needed.
You are not required to stay vigilant.
You are not required to stay awake.
Thoughts may still arise.
This is natural.
Each thought can be met with gentleness.
There is no need to answer it.
No need to follow it.
Thoughts can drift by like leaves floating on slow-moving water.
They appear.
They move.
They fade.
Underneath the thoughts,
There is a quieter layer.
A layer that does not think.
A layer that simply rests.
You do not need to find this layer.
It is already here.
The body begins to feel heavier,
More grounded.
Muscles soften in their own time.
The mind no longer needs to hold the night together.
You may notice a sense of letting go.
A subtle internal release.
Nothing dramatic.
Just a quiet easing.
If images appear,
They may dissolve.
If sensations shift,
Allow them.
There is no correct experience.
This practice is not about doing Yoga Nidra.
It is about allowing Yoga Nidra to happen to you.
Sleep may begin to approach.
If it does,
You are welcome to let it come.
If it does not,
You are still resting deeply.
The pressure to sleep loosens now.
You are no longer trying.
The body remembers how to rest on its own.
The words become slower now.
More space between them.
Breath becomes quieter.
The body feels heavier,
As if gently sinking downward.
Thoughts thin out.
Longer pauses appear between them.
Awareness softens.
Edges blur.
Time becomes less important.
There is nothing to track.
Nothing to follow.
Just resting.
Being held.
Supported.
Breathing.
Settling.
Letting go.
There is nothing more you need to hear.
Nothing more you need to do.
You may continue resting here.
Or allow sleep to arrive naturally.
No effort.
No expectation.
The words fade now.
Silence remains.
Holding you.
Resting with you.
