Namaskaram,
I'm Ananya.
As you listen,
Allow the body to rest just as it is.
There is nothing you need to do.
Nothing you need to change.
Simply listen and let rest come to you naturally.
Begin by arriving exactly where you are.
There is nowhere else you need to go tonight.
Nothing else you need to take care of.
The body has come to rest,
Even if it has felt restless before.
In this moment,
It is allowed to pause.
Allow yourself to lie exactly as you are.
No need to adjust.
No need to find the perfect position.
Notice the surface beneath you,
How it meets your body.
Feel the contact points,
Where your body touches and is held.
You do not need to hold yourself steady.
The ground beneath you is already doing that work.
If the eyes are open,
They may gently soften.
If the eyes are closed,
They may rest comfortably behind the eyelid.
Sounds may be present around you,
Some nearby,
Some far away.
They do not require attention.
They do not require response.
They can exist in the background,
While you rest.
If the body has felt unsettled tonight,
That is allowed.
If there has been tossing or turning,
That is allowed too.
There is nothing wrong with you for feeling restless.
Tonight,
You are not here to fix restlessness.
You are here to allow the body to feel supported enough to settle.
As these words reach you,
The nervous system begins to receive a quiet message of safety.
A reassurance that it is okay to slow down now.
You are allowed to rest.
Begin by gently noticing the natural weight of your body.
Not forcing heaviness,
Simply sensing what is already present.
Feel the back of the head resting,
The skull supported.
Allow the weight of the head to sink into the surface below.
Notice the neck,
Held,
Supported.
Allow the scalp to soften,
As though the skin itself is loosening.
The forehead smooths.
The space between the eyebrows widens.
Eyes resting deeply.
No need to focus.
Cheeks soften.
The jaw unclenches.
If there has been tension in the jaw,
Allow it to release now.
Teeth resting apart naturally.
The tongue resting wide and easy.
Notice the throat.
Allow it to feel open and unstrained.
Bring awareness to the shoulders,
Often holding excess energy.
Without effort,
Allow them to drop slightly.
Even a small release is enough.
Arms resting alongside the body,
Or resting gently on the body.
Notice the weight of the arms,
How they are being held.
Hands relaxed,
Fingers loose.
There is nothing to brace against,
Nothing to prepare for.
Now notice the chest,
The gentle rise and fall of breath.
Breathing is happening naturally.
No need to guide it.
You are not required to slow the breath.
You are not required to deepen it.
Simply noticing breath moving in its own rhythm.
With each natural exhale,
The body may feel a little heavier,
As though gravity is gently drawing you downward.
Notice the belly.
Allow it to soften.
The lower back eases.
The hips release their grip.
If there has been restless energy in the body,
Allow it to drain downward.
Not pushed.
Not forced.
Simply settling.
Notice the thighs resting.
Heavy.
Supported.
Knees supported.
Calves softening.
Feet warming.
Feel the soles of the feet.
Even if they are not touching the ground,
The sense of grounding can still be present.
Toes resting without effort.
The body is now fully supported.
Nothing is left unsupported.
Now allow awareness to turn inward gently.
Not analyzing.
Not scanning.
Simply sensing the feeling of being here.
Restlessness often comes from a nervous system that has been overstimulated.
Tonight,
Stimulation is no longer needed.
The body does not need to stay ready.
It does not need to stay alert.
As the body lies still,
The nervous system begins to stabilize.
The signals of urgency soften.
You may notice subtle sensations shifting.
Warmth.
Heaviness.
Stillness.
You may notice areas that still feel unsettled.
You do not need to fix them.
Often,
Being noticed is enough for them to settle.
Thoughts may still arise.
This is natural.
You are not required to follow them.
You are not required to push them away.
Thoughts can move through awareness without pulling you with them.
Like distant movement outside a window.
Present,
But not engaging.
The body continues to grow heavier.
More stable.
As if being gently anchored.
Muscles soften when they feel safe.
The nervous system settles when it no longer needs to respond.
There is nothing you need to do to make this happen.
The body already knows how to ground itself.
If there has been an urge to move,
Notice if that urge begins to soften.
If it does not,
That is also okay.
There is no correct experience.
This practice is not about forcing stillness.
It is about allowing stillness to arise naturally.
The body begins to feel more contained.
More whole.
Energy spreads evenly.
No longer rushing.
No longer scattered.
You may feel a sense of steadiness.
A sense of being grounded in the present moment.
The mind no longer needs to stay busy.
The body no longer needs to stay ready.
If sleep begins to approach,
You are welcome to let it come.
If sleep does not come yet,
You are still resting deeply.
Either way,
The system is stabilizing.
The words begin to slow now.
There is more space between them.
The breath becomes quieter.
The body feels deeply heavy.
As if gently settling into the surface below.
Movement becomes unnecessary.
The urge to shift or adjust softens.
Awareness grows less focused.
Edges of the body blur.
Time becomes less important.
There is nothing to trap.
Nothing to remember.
Just resting.
Being held.
Being supported.
Being grounded.
Safe.
Settled.
Letting go.
You may remain here or drift gently into sleep.
Both are natural.
Nothing more is required.
There is nothing more you need to hear.
Nothing more you need to do.
You may continue resting here.
Or allow sleep to unfold naturally.
No effort.
No awareness required.
The words fade now.
Silence remains.
Holding you.
Resting you.
