Namaskaram,
I'm Ananya.
As you listen,
Allow the body to rest just as it is.
There is nothing you need to do.
Nothing you need to change.
Simply listen and let rest come to you naturally.
Begin by arriving exactly where you are.
There is nothing you need to explain.
Nothing you need to resolve.
For now,
You are allowed to rest.
The day has carried many moments,
Some light,
Some heavy.
You do not need to hold them anymore.
Allow the body to lie as it is.
No need to change position.
No need to adjust.
Notice the surface beneath you,
How it receives your body fully.
You are being held,
Supported without effort.
You do not need to stay alert.
You do not need to stay guarded.
If the eyes are open,
They may gently soften.
If the eyes are closed,
They may rest easily behind the eyelids.
Sounds may exist around you,
Some close,
Some distant.
They do not require attention.
They do not require meaning.
They can be present without asking anything of you.
If emotions are present tonight,
They are welcome here.
If there is a sense of heaviness or tenderness or nothing at all,
All of this is allowed.
You are not here to process.
You are not here to understand.
You are here to feel held.
As these words reach you,
The nervous system begins to receive a quiet message of safety.
A message that says you do not need to protect yourself right now.
You are allowed to soften.
Begin by gently noticing the natural weight of your body.
Not forcing heaviness,
Simply sensing what is already present.
Feel the back of the head resting,
The neck supported.
Allow the head to feel heavy as if it is being gently cradled.
Notice the scalp.
Allow it to soften.
The forehead smooths.
The space between the eyebrows widens.
Eyes resting deeply.
No need to look inward.
Cheeks soften.
The jaw releases its hold.
If the jaw has been guarding,
Allow it to let go now.
Teeth resting apart naturally.
The tongue resting wide and still.
Notice the throat.
Allow it to feel open,
Unstrained.
Bring awareness to the shoulders,
Often carrying emotional weight.
Without asking them to relax,
Allow gravity to receive them.
Even a small release is enough.
Arms resting alongside the body or resting gently on the body.
Feel the weight of the arms,
How they are already supported.
Hands relaxed,
Fingers loose.
There is nothing to hold on to,
Nothing to brace against.
Now notice the chest,
The subtle movement of breath.
Breathing is happening naturally.
No guidance needed.
You are not required to change the breath.
Simply allowing it to move.
Now allow awareness to soften.
Not focusing.
Not monitoring.
Simply resting inside the body.
There is a part of the nervous system that listens for safety.
Not safety explained in words.
But safety felt.
As the body lies still,
This sense of safety begins to register.
You are not required to be strong right now.
You are not required to hold anything together.
The effort of emotional guarding can begin to soften.
Thoughts may still arise.
You do not need to engage with them.
They can drift by without pulling you with them.
Emotions do not need to be named.
They do not need to be understood.
Simply allowing the body to feel supported.
Is enough.
The nervous system begins to realize that the night does not require vigilance.
You are safe enough to rest now.
The words begin to slow now.
There is more space between them.
The breath becomes quieter.
The body feels deeply heavy.
Thoughts become fewer.
Longer pauses appear between them.
Awareness softens further.
There is nothing to follow.
Nothing to remember.
Just resting.
Being held.
Being soothed.
This is emotional rest.
This is enough.
You may remain here.
Or drift gently into sleep.
There is nothing more you need to hear.
Nothing more you need to do.
You may continue resting here.
Or allow sleep to arrive gently.
No effort.
No awareness required.
The words fade now.
Silence remains.
Holding you.
Resting you.
