Yoga Nidra,
Which translates to yogic sleep,
To embark on a rotation of consciousness in order to enhance natural melatonin release in the body to support deep rest,
Sleep,
A sense of inner safety and calm as you move through various brainwaves to go deeper into self.
That whether you do this in the morning,
Upon awakening,
Before bed,
To guide you into sleep,
Or as a break in your day to reset your nervous system back to its natural state of peace,
Contentment,
This inner knowing and greater access to your own self energy,
One of curiosity,
Compassion,
Care,
Courage,
Creativity.
So begin to come into a place of comfort,
Whether seated or laying down.
Allow yourself to feel the texture of what's around you,
Close by,
On you,
Supporting you.
Perhaps to invite in a sense of warmth and coziness.
To bring up into your imagination that which is one of comfort,
Ease,
Safe.
And that trauma is not the presence necessarily of threat and danger.
Trauma is the absence of safety,
The absence of connection.
That when you invite in safety,
You can undo the effects of stressful experiences for your nervous system and mind and heart.
That the opposite of anxiety is not calm.
It is safety.
That perhaps the medicine for our healing is safety.
So know that in this moment,
You have the potential to feel safe.
And that if you don't,
That this practice may give you even a little more of a window into your own safe self.
Safe self.
A trust in the safety of yourself and systems that keep you alive.
As you slow down the thinking mind that has captured and processed this information,
Let it know that it may take a break.
As you move your attention to your senses and experience this moment.
Mayoganidra will begin now.
Can you bring your attention to the tip of your tongue?
A gentle awareness on the tip of your tongue.
The tongue may move to the roof of your mouth gently behind your teeth.

An opening.
A stirring in the center of your heart.
Heart.
Love.

Notice.
The vastness of space in and around your whole body.
And may you feel even more receptive to the moment.
Whole right side of your body.
Whole left side of your body.
Whole body.
Receptive.
Deeper and deeper into self.
A healthier level of body and mind.
May you fill yourself with air.
Tuned to the frequency of sound.
Images in the center of your forehead.
Drifting.
Drifting.
Drifting.
Drifting.
The sound of Aum.
And slowly may you begin to invite yourself to integrate all the effects of the practice.
A release of melatonin.
And dopamine and serotonin.
A new belief.
An intention.
I am connected to my highest wisdom.
And I create peace and safety within myself.
I am connected to my highest wisdom.
And that of the universe.
And that of the universe.
To create peace and safety within myself.
I am practicing yoga nidra.
And have greater access to my truest self.
And I slowly move fingers and toes.
And take your thumb to tap pointer finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
And pinky a few times if you'd like.
You can take your hands and fingers to massage along your face and cheeks and jaw.
Up by your ears.
You can even pull the ears slightly out and down.
Gentle self-massage for your eyes and temples.
Eyebrows and forehead.
You're welcome to reach your hands and arms up and overhead.
Take any micro adjustments or roll out in the wrists and ankles.
Wiggle fingers and toes.
Maybe you pull the legs up into your chest or rock side to side.
You can open your eyes if you haven't already done so.
Take in the space around you.
Reorient and know that the effects will continue to move through you.
Thank you so much for showing up for yourself and practicing with me.
You amaze me.
