Welcome to this healing compassionate space.
Just take some time for yourself you have time as you begin to settle in and as you do so just take a moment to remember to acknowledge the truth that everybody has struggles,
Everyone has vulnerable days,
You know and everyone really wants to be met with acceptance and warmth and kindness in these times,
It really really helps.
So knowing this these truths remind yourself that you're here to embrace yourself just as you are and that's the fullest most powerful most wonderful embrace you can give yourself or anyone and I know you know this.
So there's nothing to get right here or wrong and there's nothing wrong with you,
You're not a problem to be solved or a broken toy that needs to be fixed,
You are completely enough completely whole just exactly as you are,
Wonderful you and this practice is a space for you to receive caring.
So just begin to take some breaths for yourself you'll notice as you breathe in that your chest and your belly expand and then as you let that breath go there's that feeling of release.
Just gently tuning into that and if it feels okay for you you can close your eyes but you don't need to,
You can keep a soft gaze.
Just bringing your awareness now down into your body so you're breathing down down into your body and you're feeling how your body is supported by whatever you're sitting on.
It's grounded and the earth underneath you is holding you.
That very solid feeling of being and being here now and being held and also sensing your space and that there is space for all of you to be here.
That air touching your skin comes from an infinite spacious source.
So maybe perceiving that as you feel the air on your skin reminds you that all of you can be here,
All the pieces of your experience that are showing up right now in your body,
In your mind,
In your heart,
They're allowed to be here and that's the most natural space to be in.
Can you begin to direct some softness towards whatever's coming up for you?
Embracing it with acceptance and a desire to offer whatever is needed peace,
Warmth,
Some kind of embrace that is helpful and welcome.
And you're just greeting and embracing whatever you notice with acceptance,
With gentle curiosity even and saying hello to it.
And you can't do this wrong.
It's so human to have thoughts and feelings and sensations and it feels so good to be accepted and greeted and embraced by someone rather than managed or criticized or avoided.
So now I invite you to move towards yourself and your feelings as if you are moving towards a friend you care deeply about.
Someone who you love,
Who is struggling,
Who's having some difficulties for whatever reason.
How would you move your heart towards them?
What kind of space does your heart feel?
It wants to offer someone who is struggling,
Whom you care about.
So you can breathe in and out of your heart and you can feel your own difficulties,
Struggles,
Vulnerabilities and you can imagine that you're embracing yourself the way you would embrace another person that you care about with care.
See with your inhalation as if you can feel as a kind of heart hug and as you exhale you're breathing goodness and well-being and lightness into your struggles.
So your breath is conveying messages and healing vibrations of warmth and compassion and support.
The kind of warmth,
Compassion and support you would offer with all your heart to someone you knew who was feeling vulnerable,
Having struggles.
This is you and your full humanity in your heart breathing into you,
Into your vulnerable places,
Into what's coming up for you and caring.
As you breathe in imagine your in-breath is saying it's okay I'm here and I care and your out-breath is just showering love.
Your in-breath is a heart hug,
You're giving heart and then the showering of love no matter what is happening is so benevolent.
Breathing in it's okay I'm here and I care.
Breathing out imagining showering love into your whole being and everything it's feeling.
Keep going.
This is so benevolent.
Remember being alongside someone as they suffer,
Having someone alongside you as you suffer or struggle who's not turning away from your experience,
Your pain and not rushing to fix it either.
Just giving heart that is so precious.
So as you take another breath or two here you might imagine yourself standing next to yourself.
Seeing yourself standing in front of you perhaps and as you inhale you're offering that caring it's okay I got you and then as you breathe out so many love showers.
Sending so much love and care to that you.
And you're breathing into your body and the physicality of that.
You're feeling how as you breathe in your chest and your ribcage lift and your belly expands and opens and that as you exhale your chest and belly naturally soften and release and your ribcage moves inward and everything just flows descends softly back to earth.
And you can soften your breath and you can soften the muscles of your face and feel that tenderness as you gently lean in towards your own struggles your own suffering with wishes with love with kindness with care.
You might even take your hand gently to your open heart and soften there.
You're embracing yourself with care remembering how good it feels to be held in caring and how this is something you can do it's such a good thing and a good thing about you.
With each breath you're saying it's okay I'm here and I care and you're also showering yourself with love.
And you might imagine that you that is receiving from you that you standing in front of you as you send love and care into all the places the spaces saying thank you.
Thank you for seeing me.
Thank you for connecting with me.
Thank you for being there.
Thank you for being so so kind to me.
Just breathing and feeling now what's happening what you're feeling what's happening inside your body.
Noticing if anything's changed for you or softened maybe a feeling of having released any feeling of opening up and there's no right or wrong.
Every part of you is in your own care and nothing could be more precious more right than that.
Now it's time to return so can you gently return your awareness to your body,
Your muscles,
Your bones,
The way you're connecting to the support you're on.
Can you feel the air on your skin again and the sense of the space you're in maybe there are some smells.
Maybe as you gently open your eyes you can just take in that space and feel yourself here and really honor yourself for doing this practice and being with yourself when you feel vulnerable.
It's very powerful and it's not something we're often taught or encouraged to do but now we're learning the good stuff right and this is a space you can keep coming into and the more you do the more you might find it welcome and you can know when you're caught up in the busyness of your day but you're feeling some feelings that need some space that this space waits for you you can claim it.
Now as you're about to move forward into your day I wonder if you can find a way to preserve this quality of loving attention and bring it to things that you're doing for the rest of the day and to yourself and your decisions.
And as I leave that thought with you I also want to honor and thank you for giving yourself this care.
I appreciate you for doing this and I wish you all the blessings of kindness and love and compassion as you go forward from here and until next time bye for now.
