You have a beautiful heart.
The more you spend time in your heart,
Even for a short while,
The more the beauty of your own heart can flood through you,
Permeate every part of you,
And radiate from you into the world.
It is nourishing to spend time in our hearts,
Whatever we're feeling,
And use them as a sanctuary,
A landing place,
And a healing temple where we can bring our cares,
Concerns,
And worries,
And all our connections to life.
Whenever you want a few moments to be with what you're feeling,
Simply put a hand to your heart and breathe there,
And let yourself feel everything you're feeling.
That's a really beautiful and transforming practice to have.
But for now,
For a short while,
You're going to spend time completely embraced by your heart.
You're going to fall into your heart and bring everything to your heart that you want to.
Meanwhile,
Your heart,
Which pulses with feeling and healing,
Will embrace you and look after everything you bring there.
Begin by making yourself comfortable.
Make sure especially that your head,
Neck,
And shoulders can relax,
And that you're not slouched or slumping,
And you have plenty of breathing space.
If you turn your palms upwards to the sky,
That can really help open up your heart,
Open up your collarbone and shoulder girdle,
The whole area of your chest so that your heart can give and receive more breath,
And your being can feel increasingly energized and also relaxed.
As you settle in,
Welcome this space and time.
Welcome the flow of all the life inside of you,
And the full depth and breadth of your emotional life.
Bring it in.
Start to feel your breath rising and falling in your own body,
Reclaiming this space here of your body,
Your spirit,
Your heart,
Mind,
And soul.
A soft,
Easy breath in and out,
And cultivate an attitude of sweet tenderness and compassion towards yourself.
Feel the support underneath you,
Where you are sitting or lying.
That support is on the earth,
And how the earth receives all your weight.
Feel how your body is resting there and connecting,
And how you can simply drop the weight of your bones to the earth.
Take a few breaths to release any residual tension,
Breathing in through your nose,
And perhaps sighing through your mouth.
Feel how you can drink your breath from the generosity of the space,
The fresh air around you,
How it pours into every part of you.
And how you can release your breath back into the atmosphere and down into the earth.
And there's an exchange,
A warm exchange of energy here between you and life.
A giving and receiving.
And how that tells you you are welcome in life and cherished,
And your being is a part of everything.
The air you breathe in as oxygen becomes inside of you carbon dioxide,
Which is released back into life to let all the green things grow.
And they in turn breathe out oxygen for you.
From your heart,
You are connected to the heart of life.
And between the two of you,
You thrive.
Now take one hand to your heart and rest it there.
If it feels right,
You can take both hands,
Of course.
Feel the rise and the fall of your heart underneath your hands and the particular contact there.
Feel how as you breathe in,
Your heart warms towards your hands,
Lifts up.
And as you breathe out,
It warms towards your inner being,
Sinking in.
Take a few conscious breaths this way,
Feeling how your heart warms up to life and welcomes it and then gathers into you and warms you on the inside,
Keeping your inner flame bright.
Now begin to think of the people you love.
Start with someone who comes immediately into your heart as you think about those you love.
Feel the image of them inside your heart as you breathe.
And how they light and warm your heart.
And how your own heart as it breathes in and out massages that love and spreads it through your being.
You can call in other loves too now.
With each one you welcome,
Feel the glow of your heart.
You can think of people from way back in your life that you love and new friendships and loves too.
Gather them all in,
Let them breathe into your heart and warm it up.
See them and feel them there and greet them.
And as well as feeling your love for them,
Feel theirs back to you.
You are loved and cherished deeply.
You make a difference in people's lives.
How is your heart feeling as you think about that?
And if there are any parts of your heart that feel tender,
Be assured that they will feel wonderful in this warm energy.
Surrounded and permeated by love,
So let them be present and don't be afraid.
Take a few more minutes with the feeling and the flow of love in your heart.
Imagine how that flow permeates the whole of your being,
Moves all around it.
The same way your heart pumps the blood all around your being.
It is now pumping love completely into every part of you.

Take a memory of the feelings it gives you and let your muscles and your cells bond with that feeling.

Just spend a few moments with the blessing of your heart to the world and send any particular compassion or love,
Heartfelt blessings to those you want to,
People or situations now.
Feeling and seeing the warmth and light of your heart extending beyond you and all around you.
And now take a moment to feel your body again.
What sensations are you feeling now in your whole body from your head to your toes?
It's time to transition.
So when you're ready,
Open your eyes and greet the world again.
Keep your gaze soft.
Keep the warm glow of your heart strong as you make contact again,
Communion with the outer world.
Remember your passion as well as your compassion are so important to the world.
Keeping your heart strong by spending time there,
Warming it and warming from it will allow your passion,
Your compassion and the whole flow of your loving being to touch life and to create things and to be there for you when you need it.
Whenever you feel the need,
Remind yourself of this heartwarming you've experienced.
Your body will remember.
And when you're ready now,
Maybe after a few more breaths and stretches,
You can go back wholeheartedly into your day.
