Welcome to this meditation,
In which we are going to focus on your body,
And create more appreciation for what our body does for us,
And even increase a bit of love for our body,
Because after all,
Our body is our home.
If you're ready,
I invite you to close your eyes,
And let's begin.
Notice the natural rhythm of your body.
Become fully aware of your body,
And notice how it feels today.
Expand your awareness,
From the top of your head,
All the way down to your toes,
And everything in between.
Notice the natural flow of your breathing.
How does your body feel today?
Do you feel any tension or pressure on your body?
Take a deep breath,
And breathe out to release that tension.
Often we put a lot of pressure on our body,
Because of judgements.
Think about it.
Are you judging yourself right now,
Or perhaps a specific part of your body?
Focus on that.
Perhaps there's a certain part of your body that you don't like.
Where is that judgement coming from?
Is it your inner voice,
Or does it come from something else?
Maybe even from a long time ago,
When you were still a child.
Maybe it was a sibling or a child at your school,
Who said something to you.
Most of the judgements we create are not even ours,
But they do put a lot of weight and pressure on our body.
Ask yourself,
Can I live without that judgement?
Can I let it go?
And if you're ready to let go,
Take in a deep breath,
And once you exhale,
Breathe out that judgement,
Release it from your system.
If you want,
Take another deep breath,
And breathe out,
Let it go from your system.
Release it,
Feel this weight lifted off your shoulders,
And realize that your body feels a little bit less tense now.
Let's take this one step further.
Focus on all the judgements you have about your body.
Are you ready to let them go?
You don't have to live with these judgements.
It is time to release them.
You are totally fine without them,
So let's release them together.
Take a deep breath in again,
And on your exhale,
Let go of all those judgements.
Let's do this one more time.
Take a deep breath in,
And when you breathe out,
Push all those judgements out of your system and let them go.
How does your body feel right now,
Without those judgements,
Lifting the pressure that you put on yourself?
Now focus on one part of your body that you really like,
And tune into that feeling.
Let's expand that feeling to the rest of your body.
Feel the appreciation for every part of your body.
Notice how wonderful it is,
What your body does for you every single day and night.
Even though you may be sitting still right now,
Your body is always in motion,
Taking care of you,
Because your body loves you.
Love your body back.
Feel the appreciation for this whole complex system,
For your heart beating,
And for the air that fills your lungs.
Feel the natural rhythm of your body.
Feel grateful,
And perhaps you can even feel the love.
Extend it all through your body,
From your head to your toes and back.
Feel it with your love.
Remember that your body is your safe space,
It is your home,
It is always there,
For you and with you,
Wherever you go.
And you can always come back to this place.
Whenever a judgment pops up throughout the day,
Remember this moment and ask yourself,
Can I live without this judgment?
Then you can take a deep breath and just let it go.
Try to take this feeling of appreciation and love for your body with you throughout the rest of the day.
Feel grateful for taking this moment to connect with your body,
And give it thanks to what it does for you.
And whenever you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
