A guided meditation to help you take a break and slow down. Sometimes we are at a point in life where we want to attain something greater and we try to force ourselves to make things happen. This meditation is an invitation to pause for a moment, let go of that force, and lean into softness, kindness, and light. Release any tension from your body, calm your mind, and enjoy a moment of inner peace.

Welcome to this meditation on slowing down.

Get comfortable and whenever you're ready,

Close your eyes.

Take a few deep breaths at your own pace.

When you breathe in,

Feel the air filling your lungs and belly.

When you breathe out,

Release any tension,

Stress or overwhelm.

As you continue to breathe,

Visualize yourself in a peaceful setting,

Perhaps a serene forest or a quiet beach,

Where you can fully relax and let go of all worries.

When you breathe in,

Invite calmness to enter your body and mind.

When you breathe out,

Let go of anything that is not serving you in this moment.

Sometimes we are in a point in life where we want to attain something greater and we try to force ourselves to make things happen.

Today I want to invite you to pause for a moment and let go of that force.

There is another way to attract what we want in life.

Even if it is just for this moment,

Let go of the pressure and tension and take a moment to slow down.

Notice if you feel any tension in your body.

If you do,

Breathe towards that place and imagine each breath melting away the tension,

Leaving you feeling lighter and more at ease.

Relax your forehead and your jaw.

Visualize each muscle softening and releasing any tightness or discomfort.

Relax your shoulders,

Allowing them to sink down away from your ears.

Relax any other part of your body that may still be holding on to some tension,

Imagining a gentle wave of relaxation washing over you from head to toe.

Without force,

But with softness and kindness.

This is your moment to just be.

Right now.

This present moment.

This is your gift.

For a moment,

Don't worry about what you're going to do in one hour from now or what you have just done.

Focus on the here and now.

This is the only moment that matters.

You don't have to do anything.

You don't have to be anywhere.

All things come in time.

And right now,

There is nothing to do.

Just be.

Whenever a thought comes up or you get distracted,

Just notice it and let it pass by.

Everything is okay.

All is well.

Place your hand on your heart.

Feel a warm glow radiating from your heart space.

Open yourself up for possibilities.

From this place of softness and kindness.

Be open to receive any wonders that are meant for you to come your way.

From this loving,

Soft,

Kind energy.

Expand this warm,

Light glow from your heart space to the rest of your body.

Feel your whole body basking in this warm,

Light glow.

It relaxes your muscles.

It calms down your mind.

You slow down even more.

Enjoy this moment of inner peace.

Before you continue with your day,

I want you to remember something.

Whatever happens in life,

It is okay to take a break and slow down.

Slowing down allows you to speed up afterwards.

Just being,

Even if it's just for a couple of moments,

Gives you the inner strength to navigate life.

Remember that you can always come back to this space.

This space is within yourself.

It is here,

Right now.

It is your home.

There's nothing to do,

Just be.

You are enough and you have always been enough.

You are so strong and so soft,

Calm and kind.

All at the same time.

You have come so far.

Honor your journey.

Whatever happened before,

You have made it here,

Today,

Right now.

You are capable of so much.

From this calm,

Loving space,

You are open to receive whatever you wish.

You shine bright,

Like the sun.

You are mysterious,

Like the moon.

You sparkle,

Like the stars.

You are being the light that shines from within.

Before we end this meditation,

Take a few relaxing breaths at your own pace.

Breathe in love and light.

Breathe out anything you want to release.

Take this feeling with you into the rest of your day.

Whenever you're ready,

Slowly bring your focus back to your body.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Stretch your arms or legs if you want to.

And slowly open your eyes.
