Welcome,

I'm Jocelyn.

This is the first in a series of writing into the energy centers or the chakras.

Each track in this series will have a small meditation and visualization around the chakra we're working on and then I will give you some curiosities and creativity ideas to begin writing into that energy center and you can feel free to write personally or creatively you can just follow where your inspiration leads you.

I will be providing some music and frequency for your writing session and on this track for day one we'll be working with the root chakra or the root energy center.

I want to encourage you to have pen and paper or if you're going to be writing on a computer or tablet have that available to you for as soon as we come out of the meditation.

It's always a good idea to once we're visualizing be able to have some place to put everything that came up as soon as you finish.

So I encourage everyone to have a pen and a paper by them or your keyboard whatever you're going to be working on and when you're ready simply find yourself into a comfortable position it might be that you're sitting back and just leaning against the back of a chair or you want to take a moment to lay down and rest your body along the ground and just simply allow your eyes to close.

In this first session we're going to be working with the root energy center at the base of the spine.

A lot of people refer to the root chakra with a color of red.

I do believe it can be any color of the rainbow and changes from day to day but I do often myself find it to be red.

So just take a moment and allow your breath to deepen a bit.

You might want to just inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth.

And as you're inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth allow your awareness to settle on the air as it enters through your nose and spreads across your body and as you exhale through your mouth can you place your awareness on the air that is leaving your body.

Maybe you can feel what it feels like as it goes past your tongue and your lips and your teeth back out to the ocean of air around you.

Just inhaling through the nose you might feel the air moving through your nostrils you might feel the temperature you might follow it with your awareness down into the depths of your belly and opening your mouth and exhaling out with a sigh.

Inhaling through your nose and you can do this at your own pace just inhaling through your nose and exhaling on a sigh.

These writing sessions and visualization sessions are really a way to get to begin to know your own energy centers.

We are all individuals we are all unique and our energy centers work in their own ways with us.

So whether you're here to discover what creative stories and myths and words and images are in your root energy center or if you're here to find the memories that are there that you can write out and get outside of yourself or maybe you're here because you just want to get to know your energy centers a little more intimately.

Wherever you are here you are welcome and you will receive something from this.

So just a few more breaths inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth on a sigh.

Ah maybe even for the last two elongating your exhale just a few more seconds longer than your inhale.

So you might inhale two three four and exhale two three four four and exhale two three four five.

I'm just going to bring you through a short rotation of consciousness.

If you might follow my voice as I guide your awareness across parts of your body and each time you hear my voice land on a part of your body might you imagine a gentle sinking almost like when you're in a house and the foundation settles.

Might you imagine when you hear my voice bring your awareness around that on each place you feel your awareness settling like the foundation of a house.

The back of the head your awareness settling down across the back of the head the cheekbones right cheekbone left cheekbone a gentle settling in or settling down of your awareness the center of the forehead the right eye eye socket right globe of the eye an eyebrow a gentle settling in of your awareness the right temple right ear lobe of the ear inner ear the left inner ear lobe of the ear the left ear left temple a gentle settling down or settling in to the foundation of your body at your left temple eyebrow globe of the eye the eye socket forehead and the left eye tip of the nose tip of the tongue and back of the tongue a settling in or settling down into the foundation of your body your temple center of the throat the heart center both shoulders a settling in or settling down gently into the foundation of your skeleton those upper arms elbows wrists palms of the hands and all ten fingertips fingertips a gentle settling in into the skin into your body into the temple of your soul the navel center sacral center and the root center a soft and easy settling in like a foundation of a house those hips all ten toes that settling in settling down into the foundation of you your body your skeleton and the bottoms of both feet bringing your awareness now back to the root center the root chakra it is at the base of the spine the tailbone can you allow your awareness to settle in settle down right at the base of your tailbone comfort in your body at the base of the tailbone letting go and sinking in I invite you to remain open to any visions sounds smells memories even the things that you believe you're making up that you might call your imagination be open to where you are led as I begin to ask you some questions here at the center of the root chakra root chakra is all about foundation about being grounded it's about survival and safety it's about pressure where we stand in life I invite you to listen to those words again and see if any of them bring a response to your root chakra root chakra foundation grounded survival safety and security pressure and where we stand in our life you might begin to see something,

A color or a pattern or an environment or a vision or a person or you might just have a knowing a sense that you know exactly what this place is this place at the root chakra,

The base of the spine you might get a sense of a smell or you might begin to hear things often our energy works with our memory and brings up memories and if we aren't listening we might think I have too much on my mind right now but these memories come up and they're an opportunity to write into it to see what exactly it holds for us at the moment that we have that memory so I invite you to simply imagine this place of the root chakra,

The base of the spine do you get a sense of a flow of energy maybe it's spiraling maybe it's like drops on a lake or maybe it's still for you,

What kind of flow of energy is here at the root chakra just for a minute let's inhale into whatever flow you have and as you inhale through your mouth might you expand that flow make it bigger on your inhale and contract the flow on your exhale bringing it to the tiniest point in that root chakra center so when you're inhaling you're inhaling and expanding and allowing that flow to get bigger,

It might even get as big as the outside of your body and on your exhale you're contracting it back to the very center point of that chakra just two more times at your own pace inhaling and exhaling and I invite you now to imagine that you are in the center of your root chakra that very center point that you got to when you were exhaling and just looking around from the center point of this chakra what do you see are there images patterns,

Colors,

Symbols,

Shapes what do you see is there a person an animal maybe you see nothing,

Not everyone is a visual person maybe all you see is black allow yourself to turn in a 360 looking all around from the center point of this chakra as you turn in that 360 how does it change or how does it stay the same maybe you see words or maybe you're beginning to hear something I invite you to open up your inner ears here at the core center the pinpoint center of the root chakra open up your inner ears and what do you hear what are the sound vibrations present for you to hear do they remind you of anything are they telling a story is there music what is here notice the aromas present in this place in this pinpoint center of your root chakra do you notice any aromas any sense what does the inside of your mouth feel like here does the air taste like anything and what does your skin feel like here in the center of your root chakra what sensations are running through your body through your temples through your skeleton as you sit here or stand here in the center pinpoint of the root chakra I'm going to ask a few questions and I invite you to hear them and be open to anything that comes across once I say them for you what story is being told here what does your root chakra need right now what is your root chakra expressing to you is there a foundational need at the center of the root chakra and what is it if your root chakra were a person or a creature who would it be and how would they love you with all of these questions swirling around just begin to breathe again deeply you might even imagine as you inhale you're inhaling into that root chakra still opening your mouth and exhaling it from your root chakra all the way out your mouth in a sigh inhaling through your nose down deep into your root chakra exhaling out your mouth from your root chakra all the way out that open mouth in a sigh and just two more times on your own and when you're ready you might want to wiggle your body come back to the presence of your body you might want to wiggle your fingers wiggle your spine out a little roll your head sitting up you might want to put a hand on your heart just to bring yourself to presence and opening up your eyes slowly and gently and reaching for your pen and your paper or your keyboard the first thing you can do is just write anything that came to mind in the meditation out and when you're done with that you might want to write some stream of consciousness about the experience or I gave you a few questions to think about at the end it really depends on why you're writing here if you want to write personally and you can really speak to what you experienced in your root chakra if you want to write creatively what stories did your root chakra want to tell and if you want to just learn more there's really no wrong way to do this you just enjoy your pen across the page allow yourself to be inspired by everything you just experienced I will be putting on some frequency and some music for you to write to for the next 15 minutes enjoy my friends you
