Remembering ourselves,
Coming home to ourselves and in the energy of Bhjaltina.
So just if you'd like,
And if it feels comfortable right now,
Inviting you to come home to the body.
Maybe letting the eyes close or if you prefer just softening the gaze.
Begin again with noticing the breath.
Taking a moment to notice the breath just exactly as it is right now.
It may be like mine,
A little fast,
A little shallow.
Maybe your breath is a little slower or deeper.
Seeing if it's possible to just notice the breath.
Mind is busy,
Our emotions are tugging,
Oh no worries at all.
Just seeing if you might notice what's here.
Then come back again to just this breath.
Watching the breath and coming back to the breath.
As if you were standing like me a few days ago on the seashore.
Just watching the wave coming in and the wave going out.
So watching the breath or coming back to the breath.
And for this next minute,
Seeing if you might let the breath slow down.
Even a little.
A slower inhale and a lovely long exhale.
And again,
A slower inhale and a lovely long exhale.
Bring your awareness now,
As best you can,
Into your body.
Noticing where you are supported.
Maybe where your body meets the chair or the ground beneath you.
See if you can notice those points of contact.
Really sensing that pressure of contact with body and support.
Then in a way,
Let yourself be held there.
Just here in this moment.
We don't have to hold everything.
We are supported.
We can let go,
Even a little.
So leaning in to the support that is already here.
The chair and the earth.
And now see if you might bring your awareness to your heart space.
You know,
Literally begin to notice your own heart.
You might become aware of your heart through sensation of heat in that part of the body.
You might even notice the heartbeat itself.
But in whatever way now,
Connecting with your own heart space.
And not thinking about the heart,
But sensing it.
This space in the center of your chest.
Entering into your own heart space in a way.
And here in your heart space,
You might begin to imagine or simply sense a small flame.
Very gentle.
Nothing dramatic.
Just a quiet,
Steady presence.
A small flame in your heart space.
No need at all to make it any bigger.
No need to change it.
Just noticing that somewhere within you,
There is warmth.
There is life.
You might in this moment become a little curious.
What feeds this inner flame?
What helps it to feel steady,
Supported,
Alive?
And also gently noticing what tends to dim this little flame?
Not with judgment now,
But just awareness.
What dims that little flame,
That warmth in the heart?
Let yourself stay here now,
Just for a few more breaths.
In relationship with this small inner fire.
Not pushing it.
Not ignoring it.
Simply keeping it company.
And if it feels right,
You might now imagine offering this flame,
This warmth within your own heart,
Just a little more space.
A little more oxygen.
A quiet permission to be there.
With you.
Accompanying you.
Championing you.
This is the energy of Bhayotana.
Not forcing yourself into brightness.
But tending what is already alive within you.
Trusting that it knows how to grow.
In its own time.
In its own way.
Now taking one more slow breath here.
Breathing in.
Filling the belly with maximum air.
And a lovely,
Long exhale.
Releasing.
Letting go.
Very gently now.
Beginning to return.
Bringing your awareness back to the room that you're in.
Maybe feeling air on skin.
Noticing again your body in contact with support.
Perhaps noticing any sounds around you.
And when you're ready then.
Softly opening your eyes.
Or lifting the gaze.
And maybe giving the body the little luxury of a wee bit of movement.
For you it might be just wiggling fingers or toes.
You might like a nice yawn.
Or a loud sigh.
Or a wiggle of some fingers as you stretch.
For you it might be your shoulders that want to move.
Just even in this moment seeing can you notice and respond to your own body.
