As we observe the breath and connect to the stillness within, we realise and feel the stillness and peace that comes from going beyond the mind. Our natural state is peace and when we connect to that then we are in a place where we feel this peace and can make the choice of whether we want to remain here in stillness or to be influenced by the mind and its fluctuations. We can develop the inner power to choose peace.

Keep your eyes closed.

Start to observe the breath.

Start to observe each in-breath.

Start to observe each out-breath.

Feel the mind connecting to the breathing.

Feel stillness coming into the mind as it observes the breath.

Use this stillness as your motivation to continue bringing the awareness to the breathing.

Feel the sense of stillness that you connect to as you observe each in-breath,

As you observe each out-breath.

Realize how easy it is to become detached from the thoughts,

The fluctuations in a mind that's not stable,

Where thoughts are changing all the time.

Realize that peace and stability come from simply observing your breathing.

You breathe in,

You breathe out.

You connect your awareness to the breath.

With the inhale,

The ribcage expands.

With the exhale,

The ribcage contracts.

You continue taking your awareness to the breath,

Simply watching the ribcage expand,

The ribcage contract.

Feel yourself connecting to the stillness within.

Breathing,

The ribcage expands.

Breathe out,

The ribcage contracts.

Your thoughts lose their importance,

Their significance.

Thoughts often contradict each other.

They don't bring the same peace that observing the breath brings.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

The ribcage expands,

The ribcage contracts.

You connect more and more to the breathing.

The thoughts continue to drift away and the breath guides you to a point of stillness,

A point of white light deep within yourself.

Each time you breathe in,

Each time you breathe out,

You feel yourself more and more connected to this white light,

This stillness deep within.

And you start to recognize this stillness,

This white light,

As your divinity,

Your original true nature of peace.

You start to recognize that peace is who you originally are.

You're not the mind,

Its fluctuations,

The thoughts it creates.

You're not the body that's constantly changing,

Growing,

Not having any permanence.

You're not the feelings within the body that are always changing.

You're something deeper,

A white light that just observes,

That contains simply peace,

Simply bliss,

Simply happiness and simply unconditional love.

This is your true nature.

This is who you truly are.

This complete stillness within.

You start to observe the thoughts again,

Seeing them as waves that come and go.

You see how the thoughts contradict each other,

How they're peaceless.

You choose not to react to them,

Instead choosing the peace that comes from the stillness within,

That comes from the white light within.

You enjoy the sensation of peace that you create through simply observing the breath.

Every time the mind fluctuates,

You decide to choose peace.

You breathe in,

You breathe out.

Stillness enters.

You remember this feeling of stillness.

You know how the mind can be reactive,

But you choose instead of reacting to the mind,

To just observe it,

To choose instead the peace that comes from deep within.

You see the white light deep inside yourself and you decide that for your whole life,

You want to make effort to continually connect to the white light within,

To not be affected by the fluctuations of the mind,

To not react,

But instead to choose peace,

To choose the peace that naturally exists within yourself.

Not to choose anything else,

Not to choose the reactions of the mind,

But to simply choose peace,

To simply choose your inherent nature,

The beautiful white light that exists deep within.

You feel the white light within growing more and more,

Expanding more and more as you accept it,

As you love it,

As you recognize it,

As your original true nature.

The white light within your heart expands,

Grows,

Becomes every single part of you,

Allows you to choose peace and love and happiness,

Contentment,

Every moment of your life,

Rejecting the peace of the mind,

Allowing you to say goodbye to the thinking mind,

To use it when it's necessary just for everyday tasks,

But not to react to its reactivity,

To just observe it,

To show it love and peace,

Not to reject it,

But just to accept it,

Observe it and to not react to it,

Instead always choosing the path of peace,

The path of the white light deep inside.

Continue to connect to the white light within,

Peace within,

Knowing this peace as your original true nature,

No reactions,

Just observing the mind coming from a place of stillness,

A place of white light instead.

You continue seeing the white light within the heart growing,

Expanding,

This is your original true nature.

You see the white light flooding your entire body,

Showing you how your original nature is peace and nothing but peace,

How it's stillness and nothing but stillness.

No thoughts of negativity can touch you here,

You remain connected to the white light within,

Connected to the source of divinity that exists within yourself,

The source of unconditional love,

The source of peace,

Tranquility.

White light within you continues to grow and expand,

Nothing but white light remains,

Nothing but peace remains,

This is your original true nature.

The mind now is not attractive to you but the peace within,

The stillness within,

Is what you choose for every moment of your life.

You stay connected to this peace within,

Choosing the path of stillness.

You are both palms together,

You generate warmth in the palms,

You take the bottoms of the palms over the eyes,

Bring warmth back into the eyes,

Then you slowly move your hands away,

Slowly open your eyes.

I really enjoyed this meditation, I was experiencing some chaos in my life and was craving a return to this state of peace, this meditation reminded me that I am not my thoughts and that I have the power to treat them how I want to. That being, observing them, making space for them, loving them and letting them go before I refocus on my essence. The inner bright light, who I truly am, is such a blessing and I’d like to spend as much time with my body and mind existing in this space as possible.
