A guided meditation leading you to stillness by connecting to the breath and then bringing your awareness to the thoughts - their non-permanence and the confusion, tension, and uncertainty they can create - as opposed to the peace, love, and acceptance of the heart. Observe the thoughts,

Observe the mind and observe the breath.

Feel the breath enter,

Feel the breath leave.

Start by focusing on the breathing.

Feel the ribcage expand,

Feel the ribcage contract.

Feel stillness,

Silence growing in the mind.

Connect to the breathing as much as you can.

Just feel the in-breath,

Feel the out-breath.

Continue to observe the breathing.

See how the breath enters.

See how the breath leaves.

Come in tune with the breathing,

In tune with the breath.

Observe the mind as it focuses on the breath.

Observe each in-breath,

Each out-breath.

Feel the mind coming to stillness.

Breath enters,

Breath leaves.

Ribcage expands.

The ribcage contracts.

Stillness comes into the mind.

Observe and feel the expansion of the ribcage,

Contraction of the ribcage.

You just follow the path of the movement of the breath.

Breath enters,

Breath leaves.

Mind comes towards stillness.

Mind comes towards silence.

Continue to observe the breathing.

Observe the path of the breath.

Ribcage expands.

Stillness,

Silence grows in the mind.

Focus on this stillness.

Focus on this silence.

You feel the ribcage expanding,

Contracting.

More and more silence grows in the mind.

Thoughts drift away more and more.

Feel the ribcage expand.

Feel the ribcage contract.

You start to connect more and more to the stillness,

The silence deep within.

You continue to observe the breath,

But you become more drawn now by the silence deep within.

You see the root,

The source of this silence.

This white light that radiates from the heart,

That emanates from the heart.

You see this white light within as peace,

As stillness,

As your original true nature that was given to you when you were created by the source of love and life and peace and beauty,

By the source of all energy that created the universe.

A part of that energy remains within you.

Is your true self.

Is the inner peace inherently within yourself.

That peace emanates throughout your body.

Fills your body with white light.

You remain here,

Your awareness in the heart,

Connected to the white light,

Inherently within you.

And as you keep your awareness here,

As you maintain your awareness here,

You start to examine the mind,

To observe the mind,

To observe the thoughts that enter and leave.

You see how the thoughts contradict each other.

How they can be made up of fears.

How they can be made up of tensions.

How the thoughts within the mind,

They were not observed if they took you over,

Could potentially lead to sadness.

How the thoughts,

Again,

If you reacted to them,

Could lead to guilt or jealousy or feelings that take away your natural state of happiness.

You continue to observe the mind,

To see the thoughts that enter and leave,

To see them as waves,

But not reacting to them,

Just watching them,

Observing them.

Seeing them as these waves that come and go,

Something external to you,

Something that's not you.

You watch these thoughts,

These waves,

Coming,

Going.

You don't connect to them in any way,

Other than observing them.

See them as waves entering,

Leaving,

Not having any substance,

Not having any permanence.

As you see the thoughts entering and leaving,

You observe again their quality,

You observe what the mind can create.

See how the mind can create fears and tensions,

How the mind contradicts itself,

How the mind creates sadness.

You observe the mind,

Examine it,

Then you examine your heart and see the peace,

The silence,

The love that exists in your heart when you allow the white light to enter,

The blockages,

The tightness to release.

You see that the white light within is clear,

Allows you to experience a natural state of silence,

Of peace,

Of bliss.

You observe,

Examine the mind once more,

See its potential to take away bliss,

To take away happiness,

To contradict itself,

To create tension,

Fear,

Uncertainty.

You allow yourself to feel where you would truly like your consciousness to remain,

Whether in the heart and its white light,

Or whether in the mind,

Its confusion,

Its fears,

The tension it creates,

You examine the mind.

See how if the imagination of the mind runs wild,

It can create uncertainty,

Unhappiness within,

But that the heart remains steady,

Full of peace,

Full of love,

Full of bliss.

You ask yourself throughout the day,

Where would you like your consciousness to remain,

In the peace and love,

In the heart that's full of unconditional love,

Or would you like it to move to the mind where uncertainties and fears exist.

Ask your heart what it truly wants,

For your consciousness to remain there,

Experiencing the bliss,

The unconditional love that was given to you from the source,

That remains within,

Or would you like the consciousness to be confused by the mind.

Where do you feel happier?

Where do you feel more content,

In the heart or in the mind?

Voice within you,

From the white light within you,

Asks you to examine the mind,

To see if there's a true permanent happiness there,

Or if your true and permanent happiness comes from the white light,

The stillness within the heart.

You feel both the heart and the mind,

You examine the mind,

But continue feeling the stillness,

The silence in the heart.

Understanding the mind,

The wildness of the imagination,

And examining the peace of the heart,

You decide from within your heart,

Where you would allow,

Where you would like your consciousness to move to.

You see the white light deep within yourself,

You continue to see the white light within,

You feel the heart,

You feel the white light expanding within the heart,

Bringing its peace to all of your heart,

Softening,

Melting,

Making the heart completely soft,

From here the white light radiates throughout your body,

To every cell,

Every molecule,

Deep within you,

Touching every organ,

Every muscle,

Reaching to your eyes,

Your nose,

To your face,

Your hands,

Your feet,

Through every blood vessel,

Reaching throughout your body,

Giving you the experience of true peace,

True bliss,

Away from the confusion that the mind can bring.

You bring yourself to the experience of the heart,

The white light within,

The peace all around that the heart is capable of generating,

You just see this white light engulfing your entire body,

You see yourself resting in this white light,

And you breathe a sigh of relief as you realise,

I am not the mind,

The mind is something external to me,

I am the peace,

The love,

The happiness that exists within,

I am the sadd,

The truth,

The jid,

The awareness,

The anand,

The bliss that resides within,

You are not the thinking mind,

The thinking mind is something external,

Made up of fluctuations and waves that come and go,

You can observe the thinking mind,

You can examine it,

And you can ask your heart at every moment where you would like your consciousness to remain,

As you see the white light within you,

You choose and decide where to keep your awareness,

The white light within you continues to expand and grow,

You continue to be filled with the white light deep within,

As it reaches each cell,

Each molecule within you,

As you continue to experience the white light deep within,

You make a choice to be detached and simply observe the mind,

Never reacting to it,

Just observing it,

Its contradictions,

Its uncertainty,

Its fears,

Its potential to react,

And you remain with your consciousness in the heart,

In the white light deep inside yourself,

You remain with your consciousness here,

You remain deeply connected to the white light within,

Away from the mind,

Seeing the mind for what it truly is,

A pattern of waves of thoughts that come and go,

You don't need to react to the mind in any way,

Its not you,

You are deep within the heart,

An energy of infinite light that was created by the source of infinite light,

Infinite love,

Unconditional love,

You are part of that energy,

Part of the white light deep within,

Part of the unconditional love that was created by the source,

You remain connected to the white light that emanates from within you,

That gives you the deepest sensation of peace and stillness that you have ever known,

This is who you truly are,

The mind is something external,

Waves that just fluctuate,

You are the stillness deep within,

Thoughts,

Feelings,

Come and go,

I'm not the mind,

The mind is something external to me,

Observe it,

Examine it,

See how it doesn't bring true permanent happiness,

How it simply fluctuates,

How my true permanent happiness comes from deep within myself,

Here I remain centred in the heart,

Examining the mind,

Observing the mind,

Choosing not to be controlled by it,

Not to allow my happiness to fluctuate,

But remaining centred in myself,

In the self that was created by the source,

In the self that's full of love,

Full of light,

Full of happiness,

I say goodbye to the mind,

To its fluctuations,

To its temporary feelings that it creates and I remain connected to the heart,

To the white light deep within,

It's my original true nature,

The white light continues to emanate deep inside myself,

Continues to fill me,

Feel nothing but white light within,

This is my true home,

My original nature,

I continue to feel the white light emanating deep inside myself,

There's nothing but white light within,

Deep within my being,

Shining all around,

The mind dissolves,

Your consciousness remains here within the heart,

You see yourself being filled completely with white light,

You see this white light as your nature,

Your eternal nature,

This is where you truly belong,

White light expands more and more within your heart,

Shines more and more within your heart,

White light expands deep within,

Here there is sad truth,

Jit awareness and under bliss,

This is your original true nature,

Keeping your awareness within the heart,

Within the light here,

Examining the mind and seeing that you're not the peacelessness of the mind,

That you're something beyond,

The deep peace beyond,

You rub both palms together,

Take the bottoms of the palms over the eyes,

Slowly move the hands away,

Remaining connected to the white light,

Deep within yourself.

Beautiful simple statements that somehow I forget. Thank you for the reminder. May I come back to my heart rather than spinning out in my head. Thank you so much for this.

So calming. This was a real revelation, something that we know in our heart but to truely experience the white light from the heart is such a wonderful experience thankyou. Thankyou 🙂

Love the idea of finding a physical location within the body, here the heart, to centre our awareness and examine the mind from afar.
