Namaste.
Once you make yourself comfortable,
Please close your eyes gently.
And we'll start by taking three deep breaths into the nostrils out from your mouth so that you can settle into your body.
Please resume your natural breath and take a moment to feel your entire body resting as it is in this moment.
Be aware of how your body feels with your sit bones on the chair,
Cushion,
Or dhari.
Be aware of the pressure points or temperature of your body against the surface that it rests on.
Notice how your feet are placed on the ground.
Be aware of how your clothes feel against your skin.
And bring your awareness to your face,
Noticing if there is a breeze or air swirling around it.
Allow your awareness to see the images and the light behind your eyelids.
You may notice that behind the lids,
A life of its own dances within the shadows.
Hues of light and darkness or images behind your eyelids.
Take a few moments to attend to seeing with relaxed awareness.
Feeling your breath.
And sensing the space around yourself.
Observing what you sense in the air.
Explore what it's like to smell and receive the smells that are present just where you are.
Let your awareness open to the sounds around you.
First,
Starting with the sounds close to you.
And then move that awareness further away to the sounds in the distance.
And allow these sounds to just wash over you,
Soft sounds.
Loud sounds.
And listen not just with your ears,
But with your entire being.
Aware of sensations that might arise as a result of any of these sounds.
Take time to listen to the sounds as well as the spaces between the sounds.
And then move that awareness further away to the sounds in the distance.
And then move that awareness further away to the sounds in the distance.
Taking in a few deep breaths,
Return your awareness back to feeling the sensations in your body.
And then move that awareness further away to the sounds in the distance.
Bring your awareness to your fingers,
Fingertips,
Feeling sensations.
Inside your chest.
Allow your awareness to fill your entire body and feel into your physical body with all the changing sensations.
The feeling of the sound is the sound of the sound of your body's vibrations,
Vibrations,
Temperatures,
Warmth,
Cool,
Textures,
Hard,
Soft.
Allow your senses to open up.
Take a few deep breaths to allow your body and mind to relax so that you can feel your life flowing through you.
Be aware of each moment.
You embrace each moment and the wisdom stapling,
Knowing that the secret to being in the present moment is just awareness.
As you finish today's practice of being aware of your senses,
You can always bring the same open awareness to whatever you're doing next.
Aware of sounds,
Sensations,
And the life of the sensations.
