Welcome to the Important Things in Life guided meditation.
Taking a moment out of your day to remember the people,
Animals and experiences that are important to you and to be grateful for their presence for they have nourished and allowed your soul to grow into where it is today.
Remembering that when we are thankful for these important aspects or elements in our life,
Our appreciation grows and we don't take them for granted but savour each of them in their own beauty.
So I'd now like to invite you to soften into your body,
Scan so that your head is comfortable,
Shoulders relaxed and noticing what is present in your body today,
Noticing any sensations around your head,
Chest or belly,
Sensing into your body.
And then when you're ready,
I'd like to invite you to take three deep breaths in through the nostrils,
Exhaling out from your mouth,
Activating the vagus nerve.
Shift your attention to some of the things in your life that you value,
People who are important to you,
Your pets or animals that are important to you,
The experiences in your life that have been important to you or for you,
Any teachers or wise people in your life who are important to you,
The opportunities and resources that are important for you,
The breath that is important for you.
There are so many people and experiences that are important,
So taking this mindful moment out to be thankful,
Grateful and in bewilderment where they enrich your life with their presence.
Before you arise from this mindful moment,
I'd like to invite you to observe how your body,
Mind and breath feel,
Noticing any changes or benefits you might be able to feel and knowing that a consistent practice will help to increase these feelings and let them ripple out into your life.
Whenever you're ready,
You can end your moment of gratitude with a few deep,
Comfortable breaths.
